Great Stay in Steamboat!

Our stay at Walton Creek Lodge was everything we could have hoped for and better! The location and distance to the shuttle stop was great and the amenities were top notch. We received great customer service and the hosts were super responsive with any questions we had. We will be coming back!

Great Location and Cabin!

The hosts are super responsive, and the location is fantastic. Less than 3min walk to the bus to take you to the mountain, and a very large dog park/open area behind the house if you have pets. The street where the house is located on is quiet and the rooms are comfortable to accommodate large groups. We had 13 people and it was no problem!

Terrific Stay

It was terrific. Wonderful VRBO perfect for our family. We so enjoyed watching the dogs in the dog park and hiking and exploring Walton Creek, which was right behind the house. The hot tub was perfect and we thankfully got about 12 inches of snow last Saturday, which made snowmobiling possible on Sunday and the Hot Springs so it was a terrific trip all around,

Great Skiing Trip

The property was great and we were only a short walk to the shuttle pick up for skiing! We would definitely plan on staying here again if/when back in Steamboat.

We had a great stay in steamboat. So much space in the cabin to spread out. The shuttle was so convenient and quick. Would definitely stay here again.

Funky house! Location was the best! We had a great stay… little issue with the fridge that got addressed by management quickly. Would stay again.

Excellent spot!

This was the perfect place for us while in Steamboat. Great location, great communication with the hosts, had everything we needed, etc. Would stay there again!

Great space for a large ski geoup

Property is great for large groups. Location is private but still has easy access to the ski area and town via free buses and the properties shuttle service. Would book again!

Great House in a Great Location

I hosted several friends at this location for a ski getaway. The house was fantastic. The views were phenomenal. The location made it easy to get to and from the ski hill and town. Thanks for the great stay.

A+ ski weekend

Amazing place for a larger group of adults to stay. Well-furnished/supplied bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The included shuttle to/from the slopes was an AMAZING benefit. Renters were easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. Would absolutely stay here again.

Fabulous location

Great house located adjacent to a large park with walking paths and a stream for the pups to play in. The house was perfect for our family getaway with 4 couples and dogs. There’s easy access to the Core Trail that goes into town. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect Family Getaway

This was the perfect spot for our family! We were there with four teens, and grandparents. Everyone had their own bathroom. Incredible views, lovely hot tub, and a well appointed kitchen. We were even able to bring the dog! We will certainly be back!

Amazing location and great house

Everything about our stay was great. Only complaint is one of the rooms downstairs is very hot and the other is very loud because of the heat-pump/mini/split A/C for the room above it is located just outside of the room. Would stay here again for our annual trip because the house is very nice with enough bedrooms and bathrooms, has a hot tub and is located right next to the park/ free bus stop. Thanks for accommodating our family we had a great stay had a great time on the slopes and at the house.

A lovely time

We had a delightful stay at this home! It was cozy and felt very comfortable and easy - the bus stop across the street and the hot tub with a view overlooking the dog park were highlights. Our only unexpected disappointment was that there is no privacy in the rooms upstairs. The walls around the bathroom and primary bedroom only go halfway to the ceiling, so while I think it would be perfect for a family to share that upstairs space, for our group of friends it was a bit weird. My husband and I ended up in that room and were pretty irritated at first. Once we shifted our expectations, it was just great material for a good laugh. Just make note of that if you are trying to have a romantic weekend.

Lovely Family Get Away

We had a fantastic time at Walton Creek Lodge. Everyone had plenty of space inside for a large group and the back garden with all of the snow gave us a perfect little sledding spot for the young ones. It was a very quiet neighborhood and great walking areas. We would definitely book here again in future. The only issue was the noise in one of the downstairs bedrooms when the upstairs heating unit was on. Other than that the stay was perfect!

Beautiful Property for Family

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and it was a beautiful property. the backyard is great to run around in but it is not fenced in and there are many dogs off leashes in the park and adjacent properties. The park next door is very busy with kids and dogs all day. also the hot tub was very clean but the jets did not work.

Perfect Thanksgiving

We loved this property for our Thanksgiving Feast and relaxation time. Having a primary suite for each couple was perfect, a large space for us to all be in at one time and the "teen hangout pad" upstairs so they could stay up later and not disturb the rest of us was ideal. The open bathroom upstairs was interesting (only one door), but the teens figured it out so they had privacy. The hot tub was perfect during the evening, and we loved being near the park and path for the dogs. Each part of the house was just right for us. The management property was very clear with communication and answered questions easily via text during our stay. We recommend this property for large groups.

Nice house to enjoy with 3 generations

Lovely home in a great neighborhood. Quick access to playground and walking trails. Nice back deck equipped with grill and jacuzzi. Kitchen was also nicely supplied for cooking. Only drawbacks: the upstairs in the summer is just too hot without a/c. We utilized only the downstairs bedroom after trying the first night upstairs for the kids. Also, the 2 king mattresses on main floor really need to be replaced :-) besides that, great home!

Great Location, but weight the cost for value 3 stars

When we look at the cost paid in peak season, and the house one would expect 5 star accommodations. The issues were minor, for only staying a week, but still issues. The house was fine, would best describe it as tired, in need of updates. Great location, great communication. The issues we encountered, food under furniture and lipstick on mugs in the kitchen cabinet. Mattresses that were very used and not the most comfortable. The Dryer did not work, and was in a bedroom that likely used to be a laundry room, so would need to time laundry in the mornings/afternoons. Fireplace in bedroom needed fixed, and the upstairs in the winter would not heat the space to higher than low 60's. If the price was lower some of the issues could be overlooked.

We would return to Walton Creek Lodge in a heartbeat. Clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything from cooking essentials to pots and pans to dish ware. Walton Creek Lodge was close to everything yet felt secluded. We were even treated to a pair of moose running by! The upstairs apartment is ideal for a family with young kids who might get up or retire earlier than the rest of the crew. We enjoyed happy hour and grilling on the back deck as we watched the sun set and star gazing in the hot tub before bed. Awesome house!
