Tucked into a peaceful North Carolina property, this thoughtfully designed retreat offers the charm of country living with the ease and quality of a well-appointed stay. It’s the kind of place where mornings begin slowly, evenings stretch out a little longer, and you actually remember what it feels like to unwind.

Inside, you’ll find a clean, cozy space with elevated touches throughout. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for anything from a simple morning coffee ritual to a full home-cooked meal (yes—actual tools, not just the “bare minimum” situation). Whether you’re here for a weekend reset or a longer stay, you’ll have everything you need to feel at home.

The property offers room to wander, breathe, and explore—trees, open land, and those perfect in-between spots that seem made for sitting with a drink and doing absolutely nothing.

We also share the property with two very friendly potbellied pigs, who are fairly certain they’re in charge. They love meeting guests and may stop by to say hello. They sure do appreciate a little attention and peanuts (provided).

We aim to offer a stay that feels effortless, comfortable, and just a little bit elevated—without ever feeling fussy. We, Trish and Dave, live on the property and are just a phone call away should you need anything during your stay.

Close enough to town for convenience, far enough away to truly disconnect.

Excellent country cottage with perfect hosts

This rental was just as described. It was very cute clean and cozy. The couple hosting the rental were very friendly and we enjoyed visiting the farm. Kevin, Hamlet and the dogs were fantastic. We came to town for a fundraiser and for the NASCAR race. We certainly could have stayed closer to Concord but this was a lovely place to stay and really not too far away. The setting made it well worth the few extra miles to drive to the race and other events near Concord. We look forward to our next visit and will definitely look forward to staying at the cottage again.

Beautiful, Peaceful, and Very Clean

The house is well maintained with nice furnishings. It is in the country, but because of that, it is quiet and peaceful. There is no water view but within a short drive, you can be on the lake. The hosts are very nice but allow you to have privacy. I would highly recommend.

A house in the country getaway

Beautiful and relaxing stay in the country. We enjoyed it very much. We enjoyed walking down to see the dogs and the pigs(Kevin Bacon and Hamlet). We hope to stay again.

We enjoyed this place so much that we booked our next stay here as soon as we left and already looking forward to coming back. Great getaway!

Trish was absolutely wonderful with communication. The property itself is beautiful and she is making even better upgrades to the farm it looks like. The house was lovely and had all the essentials we needed for the weekend. She also has a lot of eco friendly accommodations which was nice to see. enough room for the four of us to comfortable eat at the table as well as sit for general down time. With it being later in fall, the evenings were cool and there was a lovely fire pit outside for enjoyment. We were in town for the renaissance festival and would gladly stay here again for next year!

An Absolute Pleasure

We had a wonderful time at this property, which was immaculately clean lovingly maintained and in a great location, a quiet and spacious property near a working farmette. There was so much charm and character that you cannot help but immediately feel at home when you walked in the door. It had a beautifully appointed and spacious front porch that was really just a great place to hang out and enjoy some peaceful vibes. The kitchen was nice and open and it overlooked a large and fenced backyard and the woods beyond it. We will definitely be back!

Cozy yet well equipped rental on a beautiful property. Out in the countryside but only a short drive away from town. Hosts are very friendly, they surprised me with a birthday gift! My sister and I enjoyed feeding the pigs. Highly recommend.

Another Great Stay!

This is the second time we have used Trish's cottage for guests coming in from out of town, and again, it was wonderful! Very clean, great communication. She even had a note written for our friend from the Philippines with a Filipino greeting, which made him very happy. Definitely will stay here again!
