Cute & Cozy but Needs Attention to Cleanliness and Guest Prep
The house is undeniably cute and cozy with charming decor. We enjoyed the aesthetic and the layout worked well for our family. However, we encountered a few issues that affected our overall experience.Upon arrival, we found a used bath towel hanging on the back of a bedroom door, which felt unsanitary. The internet went out during our stay and wasn't stable, which was inconvenient. When attempting to use the trundle bed, we found a Q-tip and an olive underneath it, and the trundle was non-functional. It clearly had not been used with a layer of dust. It is nearly impossible to navigate the room with the day bed and the trundle pulled out. We had to pull the matress off the trundle to push the trundle back under the day bed and lay the mattress on floor. It ws barely possible to navigate.Additionally, there were no linens in the chest below the TV, so my son had to sleep on the couch with only one blanket. The couch is a modular piece together but does not lock together so it scoots a part while attempting to sleep on it. I wouldn't recommend it as a plan for sleeping arrangements. While we understand hosts often have checkout expectations, the list of guest responsibility felt excessive from parking, shoes off, DO NOT move furniture without approval and more in the welcome email. Given the lack of attention to cleanliness, missing linens, and maintenance issues it doesn't feel balanced. With a few improvements, this could be a much more welcoming and comfortable rental.
