Mini Getaway Trip

Everything was great in the hotel. Rooms were clean (beds and AC were great), front desk was prompt without any issues. Free parking was great too since other hotels were charging. I believe the biggest area of improvement was the breakfast. Although complimentary, there were other hotels that I stayed at that offered eggs or even sausages. 4.5/5

If I stayed in a VIP hotel, why did they charge you 10? Dollars too use the microwave. I've traveled the country for work and never had had anyone.Tell me I had to rent a microwave. On that I will never go back

I was very disappointed in my stay here, especially because I stay here very often. Around 1:40 am people entered my room while I was sleeping because they were given the same room and keys as me. As you can imagine, it was terrifying waking up to strangers in your room in the middle of the night as a sole traveler, of course this was also the one time I forgot to lock my door. After that I could not fall asleep because I was on edge all night. I didn’t get any sleep and had to wake up early that morning. The staff did nothing to make up for that inconvenience. I was just told that they would leave a note for the manager, but I never heard back from anyone. I don’t even recall if I received an apology, just the excuse that there was a mix up. They should have done something to compensate for this especially since I’m a regular visitor here and a VIP member (which I was offered none of the perks that they state you should be given as one). Usually I have no problems here and love staying here but this one experience really ruined it for me.

What happened?

The villa upon entry was beautiful! Cute and cozy! Until it’s bed time. Bigger, more comfortable pillows are a must! The mattress doesn’t fit, very uncomfortable and very low to the ground. As was the toilet. The bathroom sink is not deep and water goes everywhere! The kitchen floor was dirty with old, dried coffee on the floorboards. Not our first stay at the Grand yet first time being disappointed.

Worried about the decline

I have always loved coming timo the Grand because of the convenience, free parking, free WiFi, and yummy breakfast. The new building is amazing and comfortable. BUT, the continental breakfast was the weakest ever. Toast and cereal only.

Pros: Nice spacious rooms. Updated bathrooms. Quiet. Cons: Continental breakfast was sub par if that. Only allowed 2 towels, even thought there were 4 guests. (Asked for more but was denied) What you see on the website is not what you get.
