Family reunion
The property is in an elevated location just outside the town, with beautiful views over the sea and Sétubal. It's in walking distance of shops, restaurants, and beaches but I would strongly recommend a car as the hill is quite steep. There's plenty of parking space.
We were a group of 5 brothers and sisters with spouses. Comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms in every bedroom was a big plus.
The property is gated and offers good security. It's in close proximity to hiking trails and superb beaches.
On the negative side:
We would have liked to have known in advance that you have to put toilet paper into bins and not the toilet.
The company that manages the property has much room for improvement - 2 days before leaving for Portugal I had to ring VRBO to get information on how to check in.
I also had to ring the company to find out what they wanted us to do at check out - keys etc.
The kitchen felt small when catering for a large group.
A number of the remote controls ( air con and tv ) were not working due to flat batteries. Lights in two of the bathrooms ( that didn't have windows) were flickering - when changed they worked perfectly.
There was smell of drains or sewage in the kitchen area - it varied in strength.
One of entrance gate remote's battery ran out stranding us outside the property.
All in all we enjoyed the stay but...
