My family really enjoyed our stay at Maxtyle Guesthouse Dongdaemun. The location of the place is great, very centralised and close to 2 metro stations with multiple connections to other lines. Though there is a specific lift lobby to take up to the accommodation, it is a great view from up there (L18)! The room is very clean and big, ideal for my little ones and extended family (travelling with elderly as well). Big shoutout to the staff, they have been nothing but awesome, very accommodating, kind & courteous! Thank you for making our stay in Korea such a pleasant one!

Good location, 5 to 10 mins walk from Dongdaemun metro station, next to wholesaler center so still can go shopping after midnight, big room and good view from the room.

kind of hostel, convenient location

Pros: Good location, near subway, with plenty of place for shopping, for those who are interested on. Interesting and gorgeous museum just across the street (good window view) . Room simple but spacious. Staff was helpful considering late check in due to flight delay. Cons: Not a big deal to experience a kind of "hostel service", with no daily cleaning etc. But it seemed the room was lacking a good clean service for a while. That disappoint us a bit.

Hotel is close to shopping area and train stations

The guy from service desk is very polite and helpful. Our heat conditioning broke down on one of the nights. He quickly provided us with 2 portable heat fans while waiting for technician to come in the next morning to repair.

The service was great! We could leave our luggages until 4pm after checking out. However, it would be great if the breakfast could be improved by including more food items.

Hostel experience at a convenient place

This is more like a hostel type of hotel, as there is no room cleaning service and customers need to replace plastic bags for rubbish bin as well as towels by themselves. The customers also need to cook breakfast by themselves. The room is quite clean and the staff is helpful, and the location is very convenient to metro station and also malls/restaurants.

Pleasant stay in Seoul with young kids

The hotel staff was so considerable as I have 2 young kids travelling, they allowed us early check in to our room, and made a delivery of our clothes to my room after using the laundry at 8.30am.
