Great Hostel

Great hostel for my week in Seoul. The location was very central to many tourist spots and very walkable. The host was kind and provided a nice breakfast each morning consisting of eggs, bread, fruit and juices at no additional cost. The room was a bit small and older, but well within expectations for the price point. I felt safe and would stay again!

Great service, great location for a good price

The location could not be better, it’s right at the insadong street. The rooms are in good condition. The room I got even had tv and our own washroom. Cleanness was good for hostel standards. The kitchen might look overwhelming but the breakfast was really good. The owner is a really nice guy and was always making sure people had what they needed

Excellent

Comfortable, clean and very well situated. The rooms have little extras, like a bedside lamp and multi plug access by the bed, hangers and rail, and it's quite spacious. The surrounding area is charming with a wide selection of restaurants and it's on the doorstep of the city center. I will definitely stay again when in Seoul.

I've stayed here a couple of times. The owner is very nice, and they have a good breakfast. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. For the price I would have liked a little better bed, but I still liked the place enough to return. It's Close to the subway.

Loved it! Staff was super friendly and helpful and we loved the fat orange cat. Kitchen has good selection of free condiments. Floor heating was really nice, room was super warm. In a really cool artsy area with tons of restaurants. The underground bar across the street is cool. Highly recommend!

Okay place in a perfect location

The location is good if you're planning to look around the typical tourist destinations in Seoul. Insadong itself is a popular place to visit. The guest house is located on a narrow way near Anguk station. The route from the station is a bit convoluted and either google maps or Apple maps don't direct you effectively. Just map it and try to get close. It's not so hard. Inside is clean. I stayed in a dorm type room with four beds and a bathroom. It's a tiny room for four people. But overall it was okay. It has basic amenities like shampoo and body soap. It's got a hair dryer too. A locker for each persons is also provided in the room. Towels are provided but it's very small. You need to being a bath towel. A tap is in the room so if you're from Japan or America you can use your charger so wothout a converter. The bathroom is a Korean a Korean style bathroom. It's not like American where shower is blocked with a curtain or a wall, nor like japanese where the shower space, the changing room, and the toilet are completely separated. You need to learn to do all in the same space with no separation. The stuff are okay. The lady speaks a good English and she was nice, and theees a guy who speaks some japanese and he was not very polite. They don't have a lot of stuff so you can't expect a lot. The door lock is passcode so you don't have to carry a key. They have some umbrellas for you to use. Overall it's a nice place to stay in insadong for cheap.

Very good value

It's a clean hostel, my shared room had 4 beds. There is a kitchen with items to make breakfast. The staff is welcoming. It is located close to Insa-dong shopping streets and also close to a subway station (anguk station on the orange line). I would go back.

Nice hotel!

The location is about 5 minutes walk to the subway station. Shops and restaurants are just nearby, you can find souvenirs at this location. No lifts in the hotel, you have to walk upstairs and it quite tiring especially after shopping! XD Overall, good stay!!!

Very good experience overall. Super friendly staff

Our stay at Insa Hostel was very good. We arrived at 6PM and reception Helen gave us very useful information about the area and attractions nearby. They also helped us carrying luggages to the third floor, as well as helping us taking the luggages to the bus stop on the last day of our trip. Very friendly staff and good location that is just walking distance to many attractions and the train station and airport bus station. One small thing that would maybe take points away from our experience is that there were mosquitoes in our room and I got bitten pretty bad at night sleeping. It may be due to weather. The room did include a mosquito repeller.
