What an excellent hotel at the heart of Myeong-dong. The staff is friendly and helpful in every sense of the word. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the famous Myeong-dong shopping area and is centrally located, so you can walk to the many famous areas, such as Namdamun shopping, Namsan Tower (cable car), Kyungbookoong, the Insadong area, Cheonggaechun, etc. Aloft did a great job with the soundproofing of their rooms. I could not hear flushing sounds or loud neighbors. Many hotels I've stayed in Seoul (including Gangnam) in a similar price range do not compare in this aspect. You will not be disappointed.

Must Stay Hotel in Seoul!

I loved this hotel! The location was amazing - literally a 2 minute walk to the Myeondong night market and 7 minutes to the Namdaemun market. The staff were really helpful. My 12 YO son had a headache @ 3 AM and I didn’t have any food to give him so he could take ibuprofen. I called the front desk and they sent up a little granola bar. Life saver! I will stay here every time I visit Seoul. Thank you Aloft Myeongdong!

Enjoyed our stay here at Aloft Myeongdong. Decent location still and close by the night markets. Bus stop about 50m away to catch to Seoul train station was also a bonus when we checked out. Otherwise the underground shopping centre is also close by which is good to access other metro station. Room was well presented and comfortable bed and pillow we were located on a high floor that was also nice.

We arrived early and they were kind enough to let us into a vacant room. Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. They also allowed us to leave a couple of hours later than the specified time so we were very grateful. Highly recommend this hotel for their service and for accommodating our requests.

Fine but little disappointing. I was hoping the concierge would be more readily available and knowledgeable. The concierge desk was completely unoccupied throughout our entire stay, so we had to ask staff at the front desk for recommendations, tips, or help. We found one individual to be helpful but assistance was very inconsistent. This is not a good place to stay if it’s your first time in South Korea. The rooms were clean and the AC worked, but the floor we were on smelled like urine throughout the entire stay. The aesthetics of the hotel were nothing special, and I’d probably stay somewhere else next time - although the breakfast buffet was actually quite good.

Cons: The shower head was moldy, which I unfortunately noticed only after using it. There was no service recovery offered—just an apology. Noise can be an issue, so request a higher floor or a room away from the road. We were informed that all suites face the road. Pros: Excellent location—just a short walk to Myeongdong market street! Reception staff were warm and welcoming, with fluent English. Special mention to the lovely lady who checked us in on May 7th around noon—she was fantastic! The suite was a good size, well-equipped with everything we needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the in-room water dispenser was a great touch. Not sure if we’ll return due to the issues we encountered, but we’ll keep this place in mind for the future.

Great location, 1 min from Myeongong shopping street. Shinsegae, L Avenue and Lotte Dept store are across the street. bus stops outside the hotel, airport bus 6015 stops at Ibis hotel and is about 3-4 walk to Aloft. Front desk staff friendly; called a taxi for us to the airport, always greeted with a smile. Our room was spacious, opened 2 large suitcase without a problem and still had plenty of space to move around. Shower water pressure was a bit weak. Housekeeping did a good job although, it would be great if they can close the doors quietly while they are cleaning in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.
