WORST ROOM IN RESORT

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: LOTS OF THINGS REMODEL ROOMS TO ACCOMADATE DESENT GUESTS GET NEW FURNISHINGS AND BEDDINGS FIX SHOWER SOME PRIVACY IN THE BATHROOM AREA
Location: NO BEACH ACCESS UNLESS "VIP" MEMBER. NIEGHBORHOOD WAS RUN DOWN AND DIRTY CATS GALORE IN RESTAURANT AREA UN SANITARY UNFRIENDLY STAFF
When I got there I was told that the RESORT HAD TWO SIDES. THE VIP AND THE OTHERS. VIP WAS BY WAY OF CLUB MEMBERSHIP AND THAT AS I WAS NOT A CLUB MEMBER I COULD NOT GET THE SAME PRIVILEGES AS THEY DID. I WAS SET UP ON A 3RD FLOOR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RESORT OVERLOOKING THE POOL AREA. THE ROOM WAS DINGY AND SMELLED LIKE CIGARETTES. REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT WORKING. THE SINK WAS SPLURTING WATER ALL OVER EVERY TIME I USED IT, THE SHOWER WAS OFF THE HOLDER WE HAD TO HOLD MANUALLY. WE GOT 2 BOTTLES SOFT DRINK A DAY. THERE WERE CATS ALL OVER THE RESTAURANT AREA I AM ALERGIC TO CATS DUE TO MY ASTHMA MY HUSBAND HAD TO BRING MY FOOD TO THE ROOM.NOT TOO MUCH ENTERTAINMENT .WE HAD TO LEAVE EVERYDAY TO FIND SOMETHING TO DO. NIGHTMERE OF A PLACE UNLESS YOU WERE "VIP" WHICH THEY TRIED TO SELL US FOR THREE HOURS OF OUR TIME. MISLEADING PICTURES ON INTERNET.. RUNDOWN DIRTY NEIGHBORHOOD..I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My room was a mess. Air conditioner was not working. The ceiling fan was broken and not functioning. The TV set was a 20 inch screen and only worked manually as the remote control was without batteries. Room had at least 6 mosquitos and with the Zika virus around it was dangerous. I was bitten about 5 times in 20 minutes. I called front desk and they didn't respond. I had to go to the front desk which was quite a walk only to be received by employees with no empathy. I eventually got a new room after 1 hour only to not have any shampoo or any thing to bath myself with. This was my worst experience I have ever had and I am a frequent traveler.

Nice area

Nice area close to the beach, but as soon as we walked into the room, there was a stinky smell, the tub was dirty and it was like the Furnature was old. The bed was like on a curve so we sink in.They don't have wash clothes and the toilet got stopped up. The rooms need to be made over. Other than the room being jacked up the food was great, the area was great! Oh and we had an ocean front room!!

I paid for a night and I did not get the room

Pros: The beach and that it is near the capital Santo Domingo since We have family to visit.
Cons: A LOT need to be improved I used to stay at this hotel since 2000 when it was Hilton chain and the personal were more happy and always ready to help.
Location: I love the location boca chica beach it is one of the most nicest beach no waves. Near Airport and capital city.Faro a colon, zona colonial etc
The flight was late on the day but I paid for the night thinking that the next day I will be able to check in at any time next day. I lost the money of the first night and the staff was very unpleasant. The personal think that after a flight I wanted to hear they policies. I paid the night even though my flight was arriving at 4 in the morning. NO TOOOOO HAAAAPPPY

VERY BAD CONDTIONS OF ROOMS

Cons: THEY NEED TO FIX ALL ROOMS
THIS WAS THE 7TH VISIT TO THIS HOTEL, I LIKE IT BECAUSE IS VERY ACCESSIBLE TO THE CAPITAL AND OTHER PLACES, BUT THE FACILITIES ARE VERY BAD, THE ROOMS DON'T HAVE HOT WATER, THE AIR CONDITIONERS DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. WE CALL TO FRONT DESK AND THEY SEND ONE MAN, TO CHECK THE AIR AND FIX IT, THE HOT WATER NEVER COME BACK. THEY OFFER TO CHANGE THE ROOM, WE MOVE TO A NEW ROOM WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.

Stay away!!

Pros: The buffet and pool bar were nice
Cons: They need to put more money into remodeling the rooms
Location: Outside of the resort, the neighborhood is typical poverty and how the residents live.
I came here to celebrate my 40th birthday and this hotel was the worst place I've ever stayed in my life! The outside of the buildings are nice looking but the rooms look dirty and the opposite of the pictures. The first room (1622) had a hole above the toilet and the next room (2006) had a hole in the closet area where the a/c unit was located. It also leaked water onto the floor. The buffet was nice but a lot of the amenities were located across the street at the main hotel. This room was below U.S. standards and I will never stay at another hotel whose brand I'm unfamiliar with. By the way, they don't give you hand towels so pack your own if you decide to ignore how horrible this place is

Worst check-in experience ever!!!

Pros: The food at this hotel was very good and it had nice scenery to enjoy with my wife.
Cons: No comments for I will not visit again, I prefer to visit other hotels instead.
The check-in process was so horrible for me and my wife, not only did it took forever, but when my turn finally arrived I had a hard time with the clerk. All inclusive did not include free Wi-Fi and many other things, and the fee for internet was kind of ridiculous. If I happen to lose the bracelet given at the counter a fee of $200 had to be paid. And to make matters worst after my room keys were given to me I was told to wait for the employee who was to lead me to the room, I went myself with my wife after waiting more than 20 minutes. After this I just took a deep breathe and focused on enjoying the stay with my wife who was also angered.

Pretty property, poor rooms

Pros: The beach and the pool were the two main reasons we booked this hotel and they did not disappoint.
Cons: The rooms need some serious work. If everything was fixed they would not be bad but it seems like they do very little maintenance.
Location: The resort was about 15 minutes from the airport. DO NOT LEAVE THE PROPERTY!! Just do yourself a favor and stay inside the property!
The property is wonderful, the beach, the pools, the food, the staff, everything was great except the room. When we first arrived there were no towels, the shower was broken, toilet was broken and no toilet paper. The only lamp in the room had a broken (smashed) light bulb. There is one bartender at the pool bar that was amazing, his name was Raul.
