Awesome house, minor issues

We had a great time visiting this lovely property. It is close enough to everything to only need the bikes or golf cart, had plenty of room for us, is tastefully decorated, and has all of the kitchen/grilling/bath/etc supplies we needed. I'm knocking off a star because the hot tub and pool stayed cold, despite paying extra to have them heated and alerting the property manager to the problem. This amenity was one of the main reasons we booked this property, and not being able to enjoy them was disappointing, although the kids did brave the temps a couple of times. Also, while handy, the golf cart squeaks loudly while in use and could benefit from some TLC. Overall, a great property with potential to be near-perfect.

Home away from home

Our family loved our stay at Here Comes The Sun. It’s a beautiful home with soaring ceilings and gorgeous artwork. It was so spacious, light and airy. Our children, ages three and five loved the pool. They are beginning swimmers and it was just the right size that they could easily swim to the edge from any point in the pool. It was shallow enough that I (5’ 2”) could touch at any point. Property management and maintenance were extremely responsive. They came over right away when the pool alarm batteries needed replaced, and they sent somebody out when we needed air in one of the golf cart tires. There were more than enough extra blankets and pillows for everyone to stay comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, including some basic baking spices. I would highly recommend this property and management company.

Beautiful Property w/ Amazing Accommodations!

The house was just as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures. The layout is incredible for multiple families to stay in and be comfortable. There were a few things that weren't completely perfect but I simply reached out to the contact and things were taken care of (above & beyond) immediately! Highly recommend & will definitely stay at another Dune property in the future.

Wow!!

This house was beyond beautiful. The pool and hot tub were our favorite part! The location is amazing! If you go down to Watercolor Beach, they charge $60 for 2 chairs, fyi. We’ll definitely be renting again!

Great Thanksgiving

We had a fantastic time at this home. Larger and roomier in person. The pictures don’t do it justice. The golf cart and bikes were a huge benefit. One of the bikes had a chain that was off, but it didn’t affect us. Would definitely stay again!

Watercolor in June...

We really enjoyed the house and the staff @ Dunes (Alicia & Meredith) were very kind and accommodating. The location was ideal for the public beach and the WC pools/beach as well as Seaside. The Publix just around the corner was ideal and access to the golf cart made getting around fun! Looking forward to returning again next year!

Unfortunate circumstances

Right up front, you should know that this is a very nice property and the description on the website is accurate. Also, that the property manager was responsive. We would recommend both in the future. Three things went wrong with the property during our week there that affect our rating. First, when we checked in the pool was not heated even though we requested that it be heated for the week. It turned out that there were mechanical issues which prevented us from being able to use the pool until Wednesday afternoon - with only two and a half days left in our trip. While the property manager was in regular communication, we felt that this could have been caught prior to our arrival, and also could have been fixed sooner, both of which we expect from high end rentals. The dishwasher did not work when we arrived and was fixed by a maintenance person within a couple of days. The WiFi worked only sporadically during the entirety of our stay, and despite three visits from a maintenance person it was not fixed - the problem we were told was with the cable company. All three of these things happen in life. We’re disappointed that they just happened to occur at this property during our visit and that they were not addressed quickly or at all in the case of the WiFi. Communication from the property manager was excellent - they just could not get these issues dealt with quickly. We’ve previously stayed at Watercolor and would absolutely go again. This is a very nice property in a quiet neighborhood. But for these three things, this would have been a five star rating.
