Welcome to the Pecos River Cliff House, a one-of-a-kind private "pet friendly" retreat where dramatic nature meets comfort and seclusion. Located 30 minutes from Santa Fe at the edge of the Santa Fe National Forest, this custom adobe home sits high above the Pecos River with sweeping canyon and water views.

The home is designed as an open, loft-style space so the view is always part of the experience. Large glass doors face the river, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor feel that sets this property apart.

Inside, the home is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, including premium bedding, quality mattresses, a stocked coffee setup, high-speed WiFi, Roku Smart TV, Bluetooth audio, and strong cell service.

The bathroom features a steam shower and oversized soaking tub, ideal after a day outdoors.

A staircase leads down to a private stretch of the Pecos River. We absolutely loved this location. We stayed here mid trip to give ourselves a break and just enjoy the scenery. They have everything labeled and all kinds of things you may forget to pack. The house was clean and inviting. The ONLY thing I would recommend is that maybe the beds could be switched out. But that just may be that we prefer softer beds. Would 1000% stay here again if I were to travel to this area. We caught some beautiful sunrises. The steam shower was amazing. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home!!

It was amazing. Had everything you can think of. Had rods, life jacks, kayaks, jeep rental for off road if needed at a really great affordable price. Everything labeled that made everything so easy to get. Steam room, jetted tub, steam was amazing. Radiated floors. All alone, grill, amazing view, caught some trouts to take home. Host was quick and gave really great advice. There was so many things to do that 2 days there is not enough. Didn't get to do everything we wanted to do because the amenities never ended. Great guide book that shows you everything you can do in the area and advise given. It was amazing. I do want to stay there again. Well recommended. Can't say enough of this wonderful place.

Beautiful home! We enjoyed the river and the views from the house. The host is very nice and allowed us to use the kayaks and canoe. My daughter and her friend had so much fun paddling up river. Will definitely book a stay here again.

Amazing views

What an incredible four-night getaway for my family and friends! The property is pristine and thoughtfully designed, offering ample space and storage. Everything you might need for a comfortable stay is readily available. If you intend to grill on multiple occasions, be sure to bring extra bags of charcoal. One small note: they are no longer renting out the off-road jeep, which was a bit disappointing, but it didn’t detract from our overall experience. The location is also convenient for numerous day trips. We can't wait to return!

We have stayed at this property numerous times. Each time we're blown away by the scenery. It is the most beautiful, serene place you could ever imagine. Always clean and full of extras (fishing rods, safety equipment, canoes).

Perfect getaway!

This property is one of the nicer VRBO we have stayed at. Quiet and private setting, and absolutely gorgeous property. We brought our dogs to play by the river while fishing for trout. Santa Fe isn't far away, so great shopping nearby. We will be back!

Perfectly peaceful and precisely perfect

This vacation home is incredible and the owners should give a master class on what it takes to be the perfect venue and host. Every single need and want has been thought about and addressed in the most succinct way possible. From the website to the guest guide book to the labels and notes we never wondered where anything was or what the expectation was. It is an incredibly peaceful property with the home sitting above the river. The sound of the water immediately de-frazzles you and the numerous water activities insures endless opportunities for fun. We fished and looked for rocks and the kids climbed around the rocks. If it had been warmer we would have canoed the river or floated down the river in the inner tubes. Absolutely everything is provided including fishing gear and tackle. The home is elegant and modern without ever feeling stuffy or uncomfortable. This home is the perfect example of the goal of every item having it's designated place. I actually took some notes on how I can better organize my home. The steam room and Jacuzzi bathtub were just the additional water therapy we needed. One of our travelers has had some health issues and is unsteady on their feet. I was concerned about the 50ft staircase but once again the hosts have done everything right. The staircase was easy to navigate and the individual stairs were perfect depth and the rise was not too high. They even have rope handrails to assist with walking over some uneven ground. We had zero problems.

If you REALLY want to get away...

We were looking for a quiet, off-the-beaten-path place to conclude our vacation. We hit the bullseye with the Pecos River Cliff Hiuse. It is beautiful, , spotlessly clean, and totally quiet. We couldn't recommend it more highly!
