Really enjoyed our stay here for the wedding that was at the neighboring venue. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were big and clean. The only downside was our floor smelled like cigarette smoke so aggressively that me and my daughter had runny noses and were sneezing thee entire time we were in our room, but it would clear up when we left the hotel. Everyone who came to our floor commented on it and it’s a non-smoking floor so we have no idea where it was coming from. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

This stay would've been perfect if the smoke alarm had not gone off both nights shortly after we fell asleep. It was the third time it went off, so there must've been some kind of a malfunction, but I would've hoped they would've been able to fix it the first day.

My husband LOVED the breakfast every morning. He loved the variety and raved how good it all tasted. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. We will recommend this hotel and would stay here again ourselves.

We stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites San Clemente for one night. The room was described as having an ocean view — technically you can see the ocean, but most of the view is toward the freeway. The windows were quite dirty, which took away from what could have been a really nice experience. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and the staff was friendly, but it would be great if they improved the window cleaning and provided a more realistic description of the view.

I called the front desk on and off because I was going to be arriving past midnight and no answer. I was traveling and had to cancel an appointment just to make it in time before midnight hours away from this hotel. When I showed up, I called the front desk and heard the phone ring. Obviously the staff don’t bother to answer the phone, and the person at night said he has no idea why no one bothered to answer. Rooms smell musky, parapets looks and smell old and dirty, and you can find stains in every inch of the room. This is by far the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. First and last time I stay at this hotel.

Horrible experience. Scammed all around.

Upon arriving, we noticed the carpet was wet throughout the room.. soon we realized it was coming from the room above - rapidly dripping from the ceiling and soaking the carpet. We immediately notified the front desk and they, after some time, reluctantly offered a refund, stating that no other rooms were available. We accepted that offer but wanted to be clear we’d be refunded. The woman at the front desk assured me it’d be taken care of, but was extra challenging because the manger was not available and because of the fact that we had booked through Hotels.com. Long story short, Hotels.com and this hotel are pointing the finger at each other and I STILL HAVE YET TO BE REIMBURSED!!! Almost a month later. I will never book through Hotels.com again, nor stay at this trash hotel.
