The property was exactly as advertised on VRBO, with the added bonus of being dog-friendly! The owners were incredibly responsive to our questions, such as confirming charcoal availability for the grill and locating the living room fireplace remote. We easily picked up charcoal at the HEB Plus in town—a quick 15-min drive—and found the remote right on the table once they pointed it out. The owners provided a detailed PDF brochure of the rental, perfect for someone like me who loves to research ahead of time. The pet policy allowed for two dogs up to 50lbs; our two pups were well within the limit. For this trip, we opted for the smaller of the two rentals since it was just the two of us and our dogs, but we are eyeing the property with the arcade room for a future group visit. The rental is packed with every amenity you could need:Kitchen: Oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher & all necessary cookware you could think ofComfort: A/CHeat, ceiling fans & a very comfortable bed (also bunk beds & a couch bed--did not use since it was only 2 of us)Tech: Numerous Smart TVs, reliable WIFI (perfect for checking in on work) & numerous charging portsOutdoors: Hot tub, grill, fire pit, basketball court & plenty of gated, private acreage to exploreConvenience: blow dryer, desk, iron, washer/dryerThis was truly a home away from home. Close enough to town for supplies & sightseeing, yet private enough to totally zone out & relax. Thanks for a wonderful stay—we can't wait to come back!
