This hotel pumps a chemical smell through the entire AC system on the ground floor. It is to make the place smell good. It is SO STRONG. The rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor are not affected as bad. The rooms have their own AC unit connected to the window, so once you turn it on and let that run for a while, it cycles the smell out of the room. It made my eyes burn. I have stayed there 2x now, I won't stay again. I believe even if they stop doing it, that smell will be etched into those walls. The last time I stayed there was over 6 months ago and the smell was the same yesterday. It was too intense for all 3 of us that stayed, so it wasn't just me being sensitive to smells. I travel a LOT and have not encountered this before. I have stayed in at least 50 hotels this year alone, nation-wide. My clothes in my suitcase still smell of this hotel....as did my hair the entire 2 hour drive home. :/
