It’s beautiful antique decor along with breath taking views of cypress trees and spanish moss sets this place apart from any other. This place offers an ideal vacation spot year-round. Located on the property is a private boat launch to Black Lake for access to great fishing. Provided for your relaxation is a wood fire pit and charcoal grill over looking the lake, ideal for grilling and lounging. Or don’t cook and enjoy the renowned restaurant, Lakewood Inn, located just 0.3 miles from the house. Located on the property for your outside enjoyment is a private basketball court, horse shoes, and lake access for lake fishing. A place of peace and calm. The house is wonderfully decorated, very comfortable beds. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the home with it's own private bathroom. House is located near the Black Lake which is gorgeous to view and easy to bank fish. We had a wonderful stay.Quick communication response with the owner.

Stayed in quite a few nice homes. This one was the absolute best!! Beautiful, comfortable and very neat and clean. Reasonably close to all the shops and restaurants in Natchitoches, and was exactly what we were looking for in a peaceful long weekend getaway. Hope to do it again in the not so distant future!!

This home was more than I expected from the pictures. It was very clean, decorated too cute and stocked with anything we might have needed. The host was patient with me when I had questions (not because he didn't provide information, but because I didn't read what he gave me). You may be a little drive from downtown Nak-a-tish, but worth it. It was peaceful and quiet. Plan to bring my "Steel Magnolia" girlfriends to stay here.

Quite, peaceful retreat

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The view of the lake was incredible. It was a good 20 minutes into Natchitoches but the drive was through the country so the scenery was great.The is very comfortable. The bed was great. Live all the ceiling fans!We would definitely stay here again!

A Great Spot on the Lake

While the reason for our visit was not the happiest--a funeral--it was wonderful to be able to stay right on the lake where we had built such great memories over the past 45 years or so. The place was in excellent shape, well maintained, and had a great view of the lake.

The space was amazing—clean, quiet and peaceful. Tucked away from the main road, but not too far. A few miles from Natchitoches, but not a straight shot. Definitely would make a day trip there as opposed to a night trip. Great communication from host! If you want to “unplug” and enjoy peace and quiet, this is the place.
