An enchanting country home surrounded by 12 hectares of private land
An enchanting country home set around a south-facing courtyard and surrounded by 12 hectares of private gardens, wild meadows, forests and swimming pool. The house provides 3 spacious bedrooms and a large yurt (+ an optional 2-bedroom gite) for families and friends to holiday together in this sublime part of the Dordogne. The house is close to some of the region’s principal attractions, including chateaux, caves and lakes.
A truly individual property with modern amenities and vintage features.
Fialeix is a traditional red stone country house, spacious and light with vintage interiors and modern amenities.
The kitchen and dining room are open plan, with double windows and high ceilings, and there is an adjoining living room with television and comfortable sofas. There is ample space to dine both inside and out, where a huge chestnut tree offers shade and views over the countryside. A large BBQ is available.
The house stays wonderfully cool in the summer months thanks to the thickness of its ancient stone walls.
There are three large, light bedrooms in the house. We supply all the bedding, with linen sheets and towels.
All bedrooms are on the first floor and consist of :
1 double;
1 double with ensuite shower and sink;
1 twin ( 2 wide single beds).
On the first floor there is also a main bathroom (bath), separate toilet and then a further bathroom (shower and toilet) on the second floor.
The Mongolian Yurt, which sleeps 4 (one double bed and two singles), is adjacent to the atelier with access to toilets and a shower.
The yurt is insulated and has electricity and a raised wooden floor.
The house is the principal residence in a pretty, large garden courtyard shared with a separate gite (two bedrooms), which is also available for rent either together or separately. Please see our other listing and make contact if you wish to rent out the whole estate.
There is a large communal atelier/recreational area in the adjoining barn with table football, crafts , toys and activities for all ages. A great place to relax in the shade.
The swimming pool is gated with views over the valley.
The ensemble is securely situated in its own stunning 12 hectare estate of wild meadows, trails and forests, all set well back from any main road.
This is our first year renting our main home so we will be updating photographs over the coming months. Please do ask any questions so we can give you a clear idea of this magical place and its setting.
