90’s throwback

This was a 90’s throwback. The decor hasn’t been touched since sponging paint and patterned borders. It needs SO much work. The guy on reception was clearly unhappy in his job and lacked customer service skills. The breakfast was ok but I had cold tea and no selection of pastries. The room was however very big and the location is ideal. I paid over £200 for 2 nights .. this is a shocking price for s very run down hotel. No lift access either so up 4 flights of stairs with a bad leg . I could go on about it but won’t. Definitely won’t return unless it has a makeover and a new receptionist

Best overnight stay

Im gutted i only dtayed one night. Loved my room. Only negative was my room was on the top gloor and i have a disability. My own fault as I didnt mention when booking. Breakfast was simply amazing, traditional full English served perfectly.

Well situated hotel near the centre of Tunbridge Wells. Easy check-in, comfortable room.Small car park, which fills up early but once you realize it, parking is available on the main road nearby. The full English breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within 5 minutes walk for something to eat or drink in the evening.

I stayed two night's at the Russell Hotel. Absolutely no complaints, staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable accommodation. The building itself is old and quaint, within easy walking distance from the town centre. My room was at the very top of the building, my stay was during a heatwave, the hotel doesn't have aircon so the room was very hot, so sleep was difficult. I asked for a fan, but it had already been given to another guest. So perhaps the owners could consider buying a couple more fans?

Characterful hotel.

Middle of summer so hot, we had the windows open. The hotel is near main road so noisy. If it's hot, I recommend you ask for rear facing room.
