Traveling with a pet/given dirty room
It wasn’t an expensive hotel so I knew it wouldn’t be updated etc but it should have at least been clean. When I registered I told them I had a pet and I had chosen a pet friendly hotel. Upon hearing I had a pet, he went back on his computer and chose another room and told me it was at the end of the hotel and I could enter through the back door. It was dark, parking area was dark and it was muddy. The back entrance was unkept. When I opened my room door there were three spruce bugs (I think they were). I stepped on them and pushed them back out the door and into the hallway where there were a few more. I found and killed five more inside the room. One at a time they appeared. They blended into the carpet so couldn’t see them until they were on the drapes, wall or bed. By 9:30 l really wanted to change rooms but didn’t want to cause a problem. The carpet was specifically dirty around the edges so doesn’t receive good vacuums. There was on little armchair which I couldn’t sit on because I wouldn’t know if there was bugs on there until they crawled on me. I would never recommend that place to anyone that had pets. I don’t think all the rooms were disgusting but I don’t know why a room can’t be clean for people with pets. They charge extra for pets so wouldn’t you expect that went to cleaning pet hair. My dog is very clean and quiet but I know all dogs aren’t so. I was just really upset that I had been given a dirty room. The breakfast room was clean but only toast and cereal.

Very musty smelling in lobby and in the room. Towels were gray and stained- not clean white. No food left in breakfast room except coffee, mandarin oranges and cereal.

The fellow at the main desk was very pleasant and accommodating. He changed the room for me due to a strong smell of incense and he gave me a plate when I had asked for it. No questions asked, he was happy to help me out allowing for a pleasant stay.
