HOT HOT HOT!

Terrible. Check in wasn’t until almost 6pm because they still didn’t have the room ready. Then once we finally got in the ac didn’t work. The hotels solution was to bring us one portable ac unit that could only be put into a room with a window. When you reserve the suite of the hotel with 4 different rooms in it this doesn’t solve anything when it’s plus 30 outside! After 2 days they still offered no solution, and no one came to look at the problem.

It was ok. Room wasnt ready at 4pm for our check-in. Only the bare minimum coffee cups offered (2 go cups for 2 people, 2 nights...) and the staff seemed confused about our keys (we returned after a day out on our second night and mentioned that our keys weren't letting us into the side door - we knew it was because our keys were no longer active, but we were told something about a deadbolt - had to go to our room, try both keys, and then return to the desk to get them reactivated.) It was clean. Lots of parking. Nice and close to food, gas, and alcohol. Not too far of a walk from downtown. Did not try the pool or gym, but they seemed popular at a glance. "Salon Selectives" body products in the bathrooms, not great for people with skin sensitivities, but it was there. Good for what we expected for a last-minute trip to Drumheller on a long weekend.

There’s an odour, we noticed it as we first walked down the hall to the elevator on the first floor, don’t know if it’s due to it being carpet outside of the pool area. Not the cleanest place, bedding was stained as well. The pool was crowded, but waterslide was nice, kept the kids entertained. The layout of the rooms isn’t good, no empty space, not enough room to set up a pack and play if travelling with kids. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast, the area is crowded, not enough seating. Definetly not worth 300 bucks a night!
