Our recent stay at the Mazzarò Sea Palace in Taormina was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel’s location on a stunning, secluded cove feels like something out of a dream — crystal-clear water, panoramic views of the Sicilian coastline, and the soothing sound of waves right outside your balcony. It’s the perfect mix of privacy and luxury, yet still just a short funicular ride away from Taormina’s charming town center. The staff truly made our stay unforgettable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the impeccable service throughout, everyone went above and beyond — especially the breakfast and concierge teams, who handled my admittedly high-maintenance requests with patience, grace, and genuine kindness. Their attention to detail and willingness to personalize our experience made us feel so well cared for. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed, with a balcony that offered breathtaking sea views — the ideal spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. Both the restaurant and breakfast buffet were excellent, featuring fresh local ingredients, delicious Sicilian specialties, and a gorgeous setting overlooking the bay. In every way, Mazzarò Sea Palace exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left — perfect for families, honeymooners, or anyone seeking a luxurious escape on the Sicilian coast. Property was beautiful and staff very helpful. Close to the funicular up to Taormina's center. We tipped the whole trip but realized in the end that the hotel takes a significant amount out for employees.

This was the one of the best hotel stay’s that I have ever had. The concierge and front desk personnel were extremely kind and helpful. Also the location of the hotel was amazing, we were a 3 min walk from the cable car that goes into the city center. The hotel is right on the beach which is so convenient. I could go on and on about how wonderful our stay was!!

Great stay

Really great property and enjoyed our visit at the Mazzarò Sea Palace. Big shout out to Carmen from housekeeping that took extra good care of us and Salvatore on the beach who made things perfect! Loved the place so much! One thing I think people should know about when you travel to nice hotels in Sicily and this one in particular. They now add 15% gratuity and mention it as optional if you eat at the restaurants. Additionally, upon check out, they sum up a tip of 5 percent of total bill for a tip for all the staff. In essence you tip on top of tips. You can opt out of that or select another amount but it would be great if it was advised upfront as I’ve grown accustomed to tipping staff directly or house keeping directly. One then finds themself tipping at lunch/dinner then again having an amount pegged at end of stay by the property. They then tell you it’s optional. Not sure if the staff receives or if it goes to the top of the chain. Overall great stay but people should know about gratuity being baked in or proposed in final bill.

World class hotel. Location is superb. Breakfast was fantastic. Dinner location (same as breakfast) can’t be beat but would eat elsewhere- there are so many options in Taormina. A true treat and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Bravo!

Our stay was spectacular. The hotel is very nicely situated with great access to the cable car to Taormina Centro while being right on the sea. But what was really fantastic were the staff/service. They were exceptional. Best staff I have ever encountered. They made our visit extra special.
