Villa is only 200m from the center of village and the traditional village of Prines is 7 kilometres from the vibrant city of Rethymnon and only 2 kilometres from the sea. Lovely villa

Comfortable, clean villa. Had a lovely week here in October 2024. Good location, 10 minutes to Rethymno and walkable to local tavernas. Centrally located for visiting different sites and beaches. Alexandra cooked lunch for arrival which was appreciated. Recommend this place for dinner Giannakis traditional taverna in Prines

Prines Paradise

Villa Phaedra was an impeccably clean and beautifully maintained property. All the amenities were there: fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, beautiful pool and landscape. The villa had large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The little town of Prines has several very nice restaurants, coffee shop and a mini-market. It's location a few miles from Rethymno make it a perfect midpoint for exploring the island. Aleksandra our warm and gracious host had prepared a wonderful lunch for us when we arrived ( it was delicious). Later she brought us some of her own homemade orange preserve and lemonade concentrate...both out of this world! Finally, we highly recommend Villa Phaedra to anyone who wants to experience a small Cretan town and have the opportunity to meet a warm and wonderful person as well. A heartfelt thanks to Alexandra Apostolaki who made us feel so at home.

Amazing and wonderful place to stay with family!

Visiting Crete was my wife’s life dream and staying at Alexandra’s villa was a dream come true! Alexandra greeted my family of five with three sons with a Cretan lunch which was wonderful. It was very comfortable and could easily hold more people. The villa is spacious, clean and beautiful. She has very nice taste in her decor too. It is very quiet and private with a clean and beautiful pool. This was our first time using VRBO and was even better than advertised. Alexandra will answer emails in less than 24 hours and was very helpful with answering questions and providing advice. As Americans, this was our first time for my family visiting Crete and Alexandra made us feel at home. The nearby city of Prines has very nice restaurants especially Giannikos Taverna which is 5 minute drive. We can not stop talking about Alexandra’s amazing villa to people here in the US!

The house is large, well appointed, with beautiful flowers and a pool. It is located in a charming village above Rethymno. It would be best to have a car to stay there. The best part is the lovely Alexandra. She is so kind and helpful, plus she gave us some delicious food treats. I would stay for a month or a year if i could!

Excellent home to relax in with friends or family

We had a wonderful time in Aleksandra's home. The property is well positioned to explore the island, the pool is great to refresh after a day on the beach or lounge by all day long. The property is thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean. Aleksandra was always available for questions both prior to and during our stay. She even made some veggie Cretian food for us to enjoy on arrival. We hope to stay again.

This lovely villa is exactly as shown in the photographs and Alexandra was the perfect hostess.

Alexandra's genuine concern that our party of 4 had a good holiday extended to having a delicious lunch ready for us on arrival and at the end of a long journey we were all very grateful. The bottle of Raki left for us by Alexandra was also very welcome. The villa is beautifully appointed and lacks for nothing, there were only 4 of us but the villa could easily house more. The villa is situated in a quiet position on the edge of a village but within easy reach of Rethymno and perfectly placed to tour a large part of the island. I can confidently recommend the villa and am most grateful for Alexandra's kindness during our stay and would love to return.

A Place Like Home!

Our stay at Alexandra's villa was perfect. The house exceeded our expectations. It was spacious for our family of five (three lovely bedrooms, two of them opening up to a lovely balcony patio) and a kitchen where we could easily make and eat leisurely meals. The best part of the villa though is Alexandra. She greeted us with generous hospitality (home-made lemonade, pastry and raki) and we woke up one morning to find a pasta-chicken casserole waiting for us on our doorstep! The house and pool were immaculately clean, and well-maintained. I highly recommend Alexandra's villa, and would return there in a heartbeat!

Urlaub zu viert

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben, komplett und traditionell eingerichtet. Alles sehr sauber, mehrmals pro Woche wurde der Pool gereinigt, Fragen wurden unverzüglich von Alexandra beantwortet. Wären die Bäume etwas niedriger, hätte man von der Dachterrasse sogar Meerblick. Der Ort Prines bietet zu dem drei nette Tavernen, die fussläufig erreichbar sind. Die beste Bäckerei fanden wir jedoch einen Ort weiter. Zwei kleine Abzüge gibt es lediglich für die, für uns zu harten Matratzen und die fehlenden Fliegengitter. Vielen Dank Alexandra für die tollen Tage

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Wir waren mit 5 Erwachsenen und einem Kleinkind in dem Ferienhaus. Alles war perfekt und war wie es im Inserat beschrieben ist. Auch die Vermieterin Aleksandra war immer für uns da. Bei der Ankunft hat sie ein Mittagessen für uns vorbereitet. In den 2 einhalb Wochen wurden sogar zweimal die Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt. Wobei uns einmal noch ein Dessert mitgebracht wurde und das andere mal ein Kuchen.

Vielen Dank an Alexandra, die uns in ihrem wunderschönen Ferienhaus so herzlich willkommen geheißen hat. So schön wie auf den Bildern

Wir waren zu viert ( mit 2 Teenagern) in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Zur Ankunft wurden wir von Alexandra und ihrer Tochter mit einem warmen Mittagessen, selbstgemachtem Fruchtsaft und leckerem Likör empfangen. Es ist tatsächlich so schön wie auf den Bildern und nicht so verwohnt, wie manch andere Ferienhäuser auf Kreta. Alle Zimmer mit Klimaanlage, die Betten waren super, für empfindliche Schläfer gibt es auch weiche Topper. Aufgrund der Lage der Terrassen gab es jederzeit ein schattiges Plätzchen. Unsere Kinder waren von dem wunderbaren Pool begeistert. Er ist 7m x 3m groß und von 1m tiefer werdend zu 1,80m, sodass auch Kopfsprünge kein Problem waren. Die Lage ist ruhig, trotzdem sind Einkaufsladen und Taverne in 5 Autominuten erreichbar. Zum Episkopi Beach fährt man 12 Minuten. Aus dieser perfekten Lage konnten wir große Teile der Insel erkunden. Sollten wir Kreta nochmal besuchen, werden wir sicher wieder das Haus von Alexandra wählen.

We hadden het huis net buiten Rythmion in Prines. We werden hartelijk ontvangen met een lunch door Alexandra. Het is een mooi en ruim huis met twee badkamers. Een mooi zwembad. Wij (60+) hebben hier een fijne tijd door gebracht.

Tolles Ferienhaus

Wir waren zu viert in dieser Ferienunterkunft und waren sehr sehr zufrieden. Wir wurden von der Besitzerin Alexandra mit einem Essen und allen wichtigen Informationen empfangen. Das Haus ist schöner als auf den Bildern und mit allen wichtigen Sachen ausgestattet. Bei Bedarf auch komplett klimatisiert. Der Pool ist sauber und es gibt vier Liegen und schattige Plätze. Terrasse ist überdacht und man kann auf einen Balkon auch noch sitzen. Alles ist gut beleuchtet, das man dann auch Abends etwas draußen machen kann. WLAN vorhanden und funktioniert.Das Haus liegt ruhig in einer Seitenstraße und man kann zu Fuß in den Ort zu den drei sehr guten Tavernen gehen. Die Lage ist ideal. Wir waren jetzt das zweite mal in der gleichen Ecke und würden jederzeit diese Ferienunterkunft wieder wählen. 100% Weiterempfehlung !!

Der Aufenthalt in der Villa Phaedra war sehr schön. Alles war sauber und die Einrichtung landestypisch. Der Tisch auf der Terrasse hätte etwas größer sein können und es gab nur 4 Sonnenliegen für 6 Personen. Aber insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Ganz wunderbar

Das Ferienhaus hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Es war sogar noch schöner als erwartet. Die Lage war optimal. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und haben von dort aus die Insel erkundet ( Rythimnon, Chania, Plakias, verschiedene Strände, …) Im Ort gab es wunderbare Tavernen. Auch der Pool wurde von uns ausgiebig und viel genutzt. Die Kommunikation mit unserer Vermieterin vor Ort war völlig unproblematisch und sehr nett. Toller Urlaub!

Tolle Unterkunft in guter, ruhiger Lage, um zeitnah Rethymnon und den Strand zu erreichen

Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und flexible Vermieterin, die uns in dem Flugchaos in vielen Belangen sehr entgegen gekommen ist. Gepflegte Immobilie, mit überwiegend guter, technischer Ausstattung. Im Ort gibt es drei, teils sehr ansprechende Restaurants. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen!

Prima huis, alles schoon en goed verzorgd. Bij aankomst, 12 uur 's nachts, stond eten klaar en brood voor de volgende dag. Ook fles raki en fles citroenlimonade. Zwembad werd schoongehouden. Aardige eigenaresse.
