Firstly the staff are excellent and responded to my eMails quickly (via Séjours et Affaires website). The accommodation is basic and functional but well priced with easy access to the city centre which is easily walkable. This was our fourth stay in the same chain of aparthotels in the same trip so we knew what to expect. The problem for us was the limitations on car parking (weekends/nights only M-F) which was a massive issue - the description on Expedia said car parking available and we booked believing we could park 24/7.

Séjours & Affaires Bretagne review

The Séjours & Affaires Bretagne is individual rooms with a small kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. Toiletries & towels are supplied. The room was clean. Reception staff are available during business hours only. The surrounding area is not particularly pretty but a short walk through the railway station will take you the outskirts of the centre. Not luxurious, but comfortable.

You get what you pay for...

The room was not expensive, but there were a number of areas for improvement. The room itself was small but OK for one. It would have been difficult for two people to find space to use the chairs provided. The bathroom was very cramped with the hot water tank directly over the toilet (see picture). I was careful and tried not to hit my head, but still did. A tall person would really struggle. The hotel is intended for longer stays, and the room had a small kitchenette. This was good, but again the space was cramped and turning on the tap at the sink without hitting your head on the cupboard above the sink required concentration. The downside of having a kitchenette was that you are expected to empty your own bin and take the bin bag down to ground floor when you leave. My final gripe was that the reception desk was rarely manned. It closes early in the evening (beware if you are arriving late) and opens late in the morning (ie not open at 7:30 when I wanted to leave). On the plus side it was relatively cheap and very close to the station. Although the station area is not the best area it is a 15 minute walk to the centre of Rennes. There are major building works going on at the station (Feb 2018), but I did not find that to be a problem. The room was sufficiently well sound insulated that neither the sound from the station or the building works were disturbing.

Literally steps from the train station

This is a apartment hotel that offers clean basic rooms for a reasonable price. The room has a kitchette with pots and pans, dishes and flatware. It is literally steps from the train station. Go up to the top floor of the train station and go out the south exit. The hotel is right there. For the price they charged, it is quite good.

Agréable séjour

Sejour agréable. C'est la 2eme fois que j'y séjourne. L'endroit est pas loin de la gare. Tout y est mit de façon a passer un bon séjour. Le personnel est très sympathique et a l'écoute si besoin. Oui je trouve que cet endroit et pour ma part un lieu ou j'y reviendrai a chaque fois.
