This is the third time I've stayed here in the past few months and each time my room key doesn't work and I need to go down to the desk for a new one. The food selection is minimal and overpriced. The entire hotel is FREEZING!! But, the rooms were very clean and the staff couldn't be nicer.

Good day, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback from your recent stay. We do not have any issues with our key system that I am aware of. However keys are sensitive to magnets and electronics such as cell phones and laptops.

The check in was really bad. Waited over 30 minutes on Friday at 4:15 with a long line. Then, the Club level was supposed to get a breakfast voucher which was never given us and not explained until we left two days later. Otherwise, the staff was excellent. It's showing it's age.

Hi, I apologize that you had to wait awhile to check in. Understand it was a busy day for us and the staff tried their best to take care of everyone. I will talk with the Front Office about the breakfast voucher process. Finally I would like to mention that renovations will start in the month of December. Please come back to stay with us thanks.

Wonderful stay!

Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were there for a quick visit to UNC Chapel Hill. Great location to visit the school. Great location for shopping. If we need to return there, we will be back to the Sheraton.

Nice Hotel, Bad Room Selection by Clerk

Pros: Front desk staff were friendly and nice. The wait staff in the restaurant were polite and very entertaining!
Cons: Rooms are due for a remodel.
Location: Very close to down town Chapel Hill..so much to do and see! Check out Kipos Greek Restaurant!!!
We only stayed 1 night. The hotel was basically empty. We were placed in a room far from the elevator on the 2nd floor. At first, I thought this was good because we would be away from elevator traffic. When we came in for the evening we immediately turned on the television and settled in for the evening. We didn't notice until late in the night after we turned the TV off, that we were positioned right next to what appeared to be an air intake system outside our window. With the TV off, all you could hear was the constant running of this machine...sounded like loud crashing waves on a beach with intermittent popping and snapping. It was already so late that we did not take action and ask for another room. We should have done so and we take responsibility for that. The staff were friendly from the hallway staff to the main desk. Also, we had a lovely breakfast and had excellent wait staff. I believe this was an unfortunate placement by a front desk staff into a room that should not be used for guests.

Very nice room.

Pros: Location, nice lobby, nice room.
Cons: Friendly, helpful staff would be a big improvement.
Location: We came for our granddaughter's birthday party at a local pool. We did go to Top of the Hill for a late dinner and drink and it was close and lovely.
Our location was very good, our room was well appointed, clean, and very nice. We had difficulty getting the t.v. to come on no explanation anywhere. When we went down to breakfast a 12.95 buffet the food was very good. However the staff was very unresponsive. We stood there waiting to be seated, had to hunt down someone to make an omelet, which was delicious when we finally got it. No one asked to refill our coffee or if we needed anything else. Check out was fine but overall the staff seemed very uninterested in being helpful.

Clean and well appointed, very comfortable

The room was clean and well decorated. The staff were friendly and courteous. I will definitely stay again in the future.

Excellent Value - Exceeded Expectations

Pros: Free Internet, shuttle service, room service, parking
The rooms are small, but well appointed, and we found the bed very comfortable. Room service was good quality and quick for full capacity. The free shuttle to downtown Franklin Street was most convenient.
