Great place to get away with family on a gorgeous beach. The resort cleans the seaweed regularly.
Upon arrival to the resort you need to scan passports for checking in, would be nice to do that before arriving.
The rooms we stayed in were kept clean but are dated. If you want a wash cloth just ask house keeping and they will start to provide it. All other towels are stocked.
We had 3 rooms. One had an AC problem. They moved us the next day. 1 of the 3 rooms needed to leave the door key in the black box next to the bathroom door to function AC. We left in all day to have a cool room.
The food is good. Please keep in mind they will make everything with a DR twist. It is all edible and you will not starve. The buffet has a lot of choices for all meals. Breakfast always had an egg station. All pastries are yummy and the fresh juices and yogurt yummy. Lunch options are the main buffet, beach buffet, and above pool bar. Pool bar typically had burgers, hotdogs, chicken, fries, rice, beans, and fruit. Remember the DR raises their own meats and produce. The meats all have a DR twist on taste and how they are served . Dinner is main buffet, taco bar, pizzeria, or reservations at the sit down restaurants.
On the first night you have to eat at buffet but make reservations upon arrival for the rest they automatically make you rotate through each option before making more. My family loved the Oriental and Mexican restaurants.
The staff is great and helpful.
