Beautiful property! This isn’t a 5 star review mostly because of staff… Our experience with staff wasn’t the best. We came to find out only in our check in that most of the restaurants, with exception of the buffet, needed a reservation, but in order to make a reservation you need to be checked in. Well, majority of the restaurants didn’t have availability for the same night and others not until 4 days in advance. The resort didn’t seem to be full, I had a hard time understanding the reservations policy with so many restaurants…

It was my first time at an all inclusive resort and honestly this one has been 10/10.. the staff, the resort itself, the entertainment, the room space, the view.. just everything was great.. check in and check out were long, and the pools close early however there are plenty of other things to do on the property..

The property was advertised as adults only. I read a paragraph that said children 18 and younger were not allowed on the property. There were children all over. My friends and I would not have booked this property if we knew that children were allowed. The buffet was horrible. Food was undercooked and cold most times. Specialty restaurants were good. We left the property twice for breakfast. The wait staff were attentive and polite, but my room wasn't cleaned for the first 2 days of my stay. I had to stop a woman in the hallway and ask her to clean my room. My refrigerator wasn't working and my TV wouldn't shut off. They replaced my refrigerator and TV remote the next day. I didn't get my upgrade as a gold customer. Someone called and apologized, and said they didn't have any upgrades available. They gave me a fruit plate and a bottle of champagne for the inconvenience, but I don't drink alcohol. The overall property was nice but we won't be staying there anymore.

I booked two adults-only rooms and paid extra for that experience, but families with children were staying in the same section. Kids were screaming in the swim-out pools and cribs were left in hallways, definitely not the relaxing adults-only environment I paid for. When I asked to move, I was told I’d be downgraded to the family section with no refund. On top of that, staff repeatedly harassed us to leave Google reviews, and one even grabbed my phone to offer to write it themselves. Very disappointing and unprofessional overall.

My wife and I were not impressed with the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort. We stayed for 9 days and compared to other resorts which we have stayed at in the past, this one did not live up to our expectations. When we arrived the AC in our room was not working, it took us three separate inquiries and two days for this to be addressed. The TV did not work in the room, this was never rectified. We stayed in an Adults Only swim-up room and on two separate occasions there were children in our area. When I complained I was met with a seemingly false apology. The Beach area was dirty with empty drink glasses, straws and cigarette butts between the beach chairs. We were constantly harassed by people to buy excursions and DRUGS while we lounged on the resort beach chairs. The boats anchored in front of the resorts beach provided noise and the constant smell of exhaust fumes. The staff were mostly friendly but at times very rude. They seem to be poorly trained. The food was mediocre at best. When seated the waiter would provide a wine list/bottle service in which you could purchase bottles of wine and other premium liquors with dinner, on three separate occasions I tried ordering different bottles but was told it was unavailable. I then would try to order a scotch from their list, that too was unavailable. The pool areas were dirty and there was no shaded areas to escape the sun. Overall we did not have an enjoyable experience at this resort. Negligent Misrepresentation!
