Summary:

We are located in the heart of the Romantic Zone, a few short blocks from the beach. No car is needed, just walk out your front door to a day of fun.



We are a modern building with an elevator and rooftop pool deck for our guests to enjoy. Flatland around us, no climbing up hills to get home.



Our internet is fast. A typical speed test results in speeds greater than 600 Mbps.



Daily housekeeping is included.



The Space:

Wake up in the comfortable king sized bed on the mezzanine level underneath a striking painting by local artist Misael. This beautiful and large loft features exposed brickwork and high ceilings with access to a stunning rooftop pool deck. If you have guests, let us know and we will set up the pull out sofa downstairs for you.



Enjoy the most magical sunsets from our infinity pool on the rooftop and make sure you don’t miss the nightly fireworks from the pirate ship.



We are a keyless building. You will use one code to enter the front gate and you will receive a custom code for the lock to your suite.



There is a video monitor doorbell in the room (and on the rooftop pool deck) so you can see who is at the front door and let them into the building.



You also have an Amazon Echo Dot with Alexa so you can listen to your favorite music, ask any questions you may have or listen to "white noise" while you sleep.



Guest Access:

This smart property is fully integrated for touchless interaction and check-in including a security system with an intercom/camera system.



You will receive a message one day before check-in with everything you need to know. Let us know if you have any questions or need a ride set up to and from the airport.



The Neighborhood:

Lofts on Basilio is located in the heart of Zona Romantica. Basilio Badillo is one of the most popular street in town, with a lot of taco carts and great restaurants around. The area around the apartment is flat with no hills.

Ubers are plentiful and cheap.

We can set up a ride to and from the airport if you would like.



Other Things to Note:

Loft 201 faces the street so if you are a light sleeper, consider a loft in the back of the building (lofts 202 and 302) or on a higher floor (loft 301).

I had booked this for December way in advance. About a month before I was contacted by the host via whatsapp to see if I had paid which I thought was really odd. They said they didn't see a payment and I told them I had paid through vrbo using affirm. On the day we were supposed to check in I had asked the host for check in info since they had never sent it to me the day before. They mentioned they weren't near their computer and would send it later. They later mentioned they sent it via email but I never received anything. I kept asking for check in info and never received a reply. Eventually I had to call vrbo to try to rebook as it was past check in time and we had nowhere to stay. Vrbo didn't have any options so I had to very quickly find a hotel at 5pm with all of our luggage in the street to try to find somewhere to stay for the night which ended up being very costly. I had gotten a great deal on this since I booked early. The unresponsiveness of the host makes me suspect they double booked it at a higher price on another platform and wanted me to cancel. It was an extremely poor and stressful experience. I would not suggest gambling with your vacation using this host.
