10/10/on this beachfront, family-friendly house! With a very responsive host! Everything was just as described. The back deck was our favorite--so beautiful listening to/watching the waves with a consistent breeze--and completely enclosed and safe for our littles to roam and play! With a large table for playing games, a swinging bed for napping, and plenty of chairs to just sit and chat. All bedrooms & the kitchen were fully stocked for every need. Seriously--you could come with a bathing suit and toothbrush and the rest is there! Things I wished I'd known--it's all one level. All 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, kitchen & laundry are all on the upper level (as are most of the beach houses in the area). Also, the eating area is just the wrap-around kitchen island--there's not a separate dining table inside (but there is one out on the deck). And the cooktop is induction--we had never used one and had to consult Google on how to get that to work :) In the open area under the house, there is an outdoor shower and another fun deck area with swings. Plus the owner is SO generous with all of the beach toys! And there are multiple ways to wash off the sand--I loved the spigot right at the base of the stairs to wash feet one more time before climbing the steps into the house! Things I didn't know (that have nothing to do with the house)--seaweed & bacteria count! The seaweed was abundant, but the city bulldozes it often. And consult texasbeachwatch.com for water bacteria!
