Pas confortable, pas propre, vraiment nul !

L'hotel est excessivement cher pour le service rendu. Déjà en arrivant le wifi ne marchait pas. Ensuite la piscine était immonde (voir photo), et personne ne la nettoye. La chambre est vieille et n'est pas propre : insectes morts, lezard vivant dans la chambre. Pas de produits de douches. Une serviette très petite. Une semaine complète à l'hôtel mais personne ne change la serviette de la salle de bain, les draps ne sont jamais changés, le sol jamais nettoyé. Pour avoir du papier toilette il faut aller réclamer à la réception. Et enfin, il n'y a pas de restaurant ni même de petit déjeuner comme annoncé. L'hôtel est vraiment nul. C'est sûr, je n'y retournerai jamais !

Afordable hotel in pointe noire

Hotel residence saint jaques is a nice little hotel near the beach in Pointe noire. The manager is helpful and friendly. There is a tennis table, a swimming pool and long chairs in the common area. Too bad the place was empty. The room was quite small but well it was alright for one night. More annoying was the water shortage but this was due to the lack of city water. Ok for 1 night

spartiate, bien placé mais vétuste

Ville portuaire pas à vocation touristique, mais c'est l'occasion pour une immersion dans l'Afrique réelle d'aujourd'hui entre développement économique, tradition africaine et pauvreté locale..Là-bas tout se bouscule dans une ville en plein développement. Pour l'hôtel St Jacques, il faut oublier les référentiels européens. literie confortable, hôtel calme, PDJ simple mais copieux, proximité immédiate de la plage où l'activité festive est importante pour les habitants, l'occasion pour se mêler aux locaux et boire un verre les pieds dans le sable en dégustant une brochette de poisson grillé . Le personnel est dévoué, aimable. choisir impérativement une chambre "supérieure" avec vue sur jardin, sinon vous risquez d'être fort déçus. Les chambres sont spartiates, pas de service d'hôtel (pas de boissons, minibar vide, pas de drap de bain) la piscine ne donne pas vraiment envie de se baigner et l'hôtel souffre d'un manque cruel d'entretien; c'est dommage car il est plutôt bien placé. a 200m, on trouve des restos sympas et propres (si-bon; l'abri côtier..). Pour 50 € voire moins, on peut négocier un taxi pour la journée, indispensable pour visiter la région. visiter les nombreux marchés, les gorges de Diosso sont incontournables, et la route pour y parvenir fera traverser la brousse et la banlieue de Pointe Noire, à voir, sinon pas d'activité récréative (quad, pirogue, char à voile, etc.. Dommage, mais parions que ça viendra avec la montée en puissance de la ville)
