Villa Caterina had the most amazing hosts of any VRBO we have ever stayed at. From our first contact Diego answered all our questions promptly. The Villa is the most beautiful luxurious home. They set us up with airport transportation to and from the Villa, then set us up with the most friendly drivers that we just texted and they were there immediately whenever we needed. Diego set us up with the best massages that anyone in our group of 11 had ever had (3 Masseuse came right to the house and gave us massages) We had chef service and these were the best meals any of us had ever had. The chefs from Tasty Nomads were so fun and friendly! Anytime we were getting low on something in the Villa or had a question or needed anything I just texted and got an immediate reply. I was hesitant to do a VRBO in Mexico as we’ve always stayed at resorts however I don’t think I would ever go back to a resort after staying at Villa Caterina. The backyard and pool are even more beautiful than the pictures show. A man comes and cleans the pool and yard to perfection every second day. The home is huge and we had tons of space for the 11 of us. I can’t say enough good about our stay last week. Thank you Diego and family for the unforgettable vacation!

Great Family Vacations in Semana Santa

We were 2 families with kids 5 kids between 4 and 12 years old.The house is amazing, 2 floors, lots of sofas, tables, chairs and great design, full of beautiful details. Rooms are very spacious and confortable, great a/a, the pool is super fun for kids, lovely garden. We had a very relaxing week watching tv, pool and bbq, visiting theme parks, etc.The house is in a high-end neighborhood called Playacar which is extremely well located closed to restaurants, bars, malls, and the popular theme parks. We rented a car and mostly everything was between 10-20 mins driving distance.We were amazed to have housekeeping and pool services every day, except for Sunday. This was highly appreciated since we had kids around the house messing up.The house is much more beautiful in real life than in the pictures.

House was lovely BUT....

The house was absolutely lovely and exactly like the pictures listed. The rating would have been higher if guests and I had not experienced some issues during our stay. We were a group of 14. There were some minor issues with AC in one bedroom and television not working and we had to send several messages to Diego. Although the AC was fixed the next day, the main television remained not working throughout our stay. The biggest issue was concerning cooking in the home. There was no mention in the listing that the property chef must be used to cook in the home. I had several conversations with the owner prior to arrival and when asked about hiring their chef, I advised that we would make our own arrangements regarding dinner for two nights and eat out other nights. Diego did not indicate any restrictions until day of arrival. If it was in their listing or we were advised in advance, we would have chosen another property. It was very unprofessional and inconvenient for myself and guests to be told on day of arrival that only property chef is allowed to cook in the house. Especially considering we had already made arrangements with a friend to cook a special dinner to celebrate an engagement and the owners blocked my friend from delivering the food which was already prepared to us. Myself and three of my friends had to walk a mile in torrential downpour to pick up the food that was prepared for us since they were blocked from entering the gate to deliver. It’s unfortunate we had to experience this and this surely affected our stay.

Amazing Stay

The house pictures don't do justice. Everything is new, clean, and well-appointed. The house is tucked in a gated community within a gated community. It's about a 10 minute drive into town, but makes getting to beaches / towns further south convenient. Diego and his brother were highly responsive and helpful. Miguel was very professional and made sure things were nice and tidy. We had a group of 11 people and there was more than enough room. Would absolutely recommend staying here.
