Overall a nice all inclusive. Just needs a little bit repair in some of the walls and doors because of age. Food was great, buffet was a little small though, it was very difficult to book meals at the specialty restaurants because the 6-8pm dinner slots were always taken up. There’s were a lot of cute hang out space but a lot of it was outdoors without any ac so it was hot and humid. The housekeeping was excellent, came to refresh our beds and towels daily. The activities were very kid friendly. Spa was very nice.

Our family of 5 went for 6 nights. We had the family concierge service. This assigns someone to book reservations in advance for dinner and have a direct communication if you need something and get access to a “Family Concierge” Pool and Restaurant. Don’t think it was worth it. Check in was slow and they skipped our family with 2 other families. Luckily, a staff member noticed and brought it up to them. The person who checked us in seemed new and attempted to sell us an upgraded room. The room he offered was $700 more for our stay and had 1 less bed and further away from the pool and restaurants. Not sure how that was an upgrade!?! Our room had 2 full size beds and a sofa pullout bed. The jacuzzi didn’t work. Everything else worked fine. Our concierge, reserved our daily dinners which was nice. Food was good overall. The kids splash zone was fun for about 4 hours. They preferred the pool with the pirate ship. It’s about 3 ft tall pool. The waiters at the pool area are terrible. Not enough staff and you need to chase them down. We finally got someone and we made sure to have him check on us often. How? Decent tip every time. If you don’t tip, you’ll be ignored. On our last day they had different staff so the waiter we had helping us wasn’t working. We tried to get someone to help us but failed. My personal favorite thing about resorts that I have experienced is having the kids have fun and being able to get service as we watch them. Overall experience was ok.

Amazing property for families. We had a family concierge swim up suite and we absolutely enjoy being able to jump into the pool from our balcony. Veronica H was our concierge and she made it so special for our kids. We celebrated my son’s birthday and she helped make it so special. We can’t wait to go back.

Stayed here for a week with my wife and 3 kids. The room and resort were very clean, the whole time I was there I constantly saw people cleaning. The resort was beautiful and from room service to coming every evening to dress the sofa bed was awesome. The buffet was nice everyone found something they liked, the restaurants were good too. The ice cream place was great the gym was nice also. Only downside food wise was the cokes were watered down but it wasn’t too big of a deal. I def would stay again but I would look into the sargassum season before I make plans the beach was unusable.

Great stay overall, kids had a blast enjoying the pirate ship pool a lot and the aqua park as well. The family concierge service was a frustrating experience for us and didn’t seem worth the extra cost.

The hotel and staff are amazing. The beach had a bad seaweed problem as we went during the season for that. Not the hotels fault at all, though

Our family of 10 (5 adults, 5 kids) spent 9 nights at Paradisus Playa del Carmen. While we had a good vacation, there were a few issues. The sargassum (seaweed) problem was bad, and the smell lingered throughout the resort, which impacted the beach experience. We had the Family Concierge package, and Carlos was excellent—helping with restaurant reservations and resolving complaints. The pullout couch mattress in our room was broken, but after notifying them, they replaced it with a new one. We were also disappointed with the spa. Our package included hydrotherapy, but no one told us we needed a reservation. When we were turned away, we felt misled, but after raising the issue, we were able to schedule our sessions. Upon our return the spa was not busy at all. The kids loved the Kidsom daycare, and the family photography session was wonderful. As for the food, it was hit or miss. Capella, Flora, Blue Agave, and Hibachi were great, but Sal the Steakhouse and Cielo were not impressive. Poolside ordering was a nice perk. The resort is showing signs of wear and tear and doesn’t fully live up to its 5-star rating. Overall, it was a great family vacation with some hiccups, but the kids had an amazing time, and we had a relaxing trip. We have stayed at other resorts such as Sandals, LeBlanc, Grand Moon Palace, Secrets, Live Aqua, & Royalton. So we have high expectations. We always like trying new resort until we find right one for our entire family. Right now that is Moon Palace

The sargassus problem is really bad at this hotel. The beach is unusable and the sargassus odor is really strong sometimes over the day...like rotten eggs. I know is not the hotel fault but if you are planning your vacations have this in mind. Also, they sold us a trip to Isla Mujeres and the took us to have lunch buffet to a really bad place. It was sold as luxury but it was really poor. I would had paid more if I knew. It was litteraly one off the worst buffets in my life.

The service was wonderful, the room spacious and clean, the pool games and music were fun, the food was delicious, our kiddos LOVED the water park. It was such an engaging place that we didn’t even care that the beach was a bust because the sargassum seaweed bloom because there’s much fun and relaxation to be had at the pool. We would go to the adult side sometimes, but it’s actually more fun on the family side. I would return here!

My party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were 3 seniors, 6 adults, and 1 toddler. Paradisus was a wonderful place for us to meet, since we don’t all live in the same state. I loved that we didn’t have to plan—just packed our bags and went. The staff went above and beyond to maintain the property, making it feel untouched every day. They were accommodating and friendly, and I appreciated that they spoke both Spanish and English. I loved practicing my Spanish with the staff, most of who were willing to help me improve my language skills. The restaurants felt high-end with thoughtful decor, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. My favorite restaurant was Lemon Fish—I went twice! We stayed 5 nights and I felt like we got to try most restaurants. It’s not necessary to leave the property because they have everything you need for activities, entertainment, and relaxation, but a couple of us took a taxi to el centro do so some souvenir shopping. It was end of May and blistering hot, just keep that in mind. It’s nice that the resort has AC to escape to. I miss the staff and resort already! I’ll definitely recommend Paradisus playa del Carmen to anyone who wants a luxurious but affordable all inclusive resort experience. It was my first time experiencing something like this, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

A wonderful stay with an amazing Concierge. Request Jonathan! He was amazing, great with the kids, set us up right, checked on us daily, and felt like a fun uncle to the family. Alright, now the review: We stayed at the Family concierge with Swimout pool. Our location of the room in the pool was splendid. We had dual lounge chairs and ample pool before the main walk way. Definitely better than some other room locations. The room was spacious; had a very large pullout our two girls stayed in, a kitchenette, dining room table, and a large master bathroom with large Roman tub and a huge shower with dual rain shower faucets and handheld faucets as well. There was also three sinks to the bathroom, a kids area and adults. Plenty of storage in this specific room!!! The food throughout was one of the better all inclusives we have been too, while the buffets are the average food, the restaurants were more upscale or elegant plates. Felt more like a restaurant on the Las Vegas strip than Mexico. The food at these restaurants were much better, and the service was outstanding almost every time. We had an awesome waiter at the Bana Family(Jhony) algo went above and beyond to take care of our picky daughters. And Neomi At Cielo Mexican restaurant was awesome As well. Very attentive and gave us some much needed advice the first night. The buffets were pretty empty when we went(end of May to first week of June), Eva was amazing, we looked for her everyday and was the friendliest and helpfu
