Things did not go right from the time we entered the lobby. The person behind the counter did not say even a 'hello'. He started with I need your ID! Then he proceeded to give us the keys to Room 419. We trudged up to the room only to find that it was not cleaned after the last guest had vacated. We went back to the lounge - and there wasn't even an acknowledgement of our troubles, much less an apology. Instead they asked me "what was wrong with the room" after I had told them that it hadn't been cleaned. The guy then gave me keys to Room 411. At check in we had explicitly stated we wanted to pay cash and not to charge our credit card. But on checkout I noticed that they'd charged our credit card afterall! There was no tea in the room - only coffee. Even at breakfast, they had just a regular black tea and a mint tea. When I asked if they had Green tea, the girl was helpful. She opened a cupboard to look through. There were other types of tea but no Green tea. Yet, none of the other teas were set out for guests to use.
Overall, the experience was not what I expected from Holiday Inn.
