Unfriendly staff

The two gentlemen at check-in counter had zero personality . Not that I want a band playing at my arrival but a simple smile would have been nice. The one gentleman spoke so low I could barely hear his instructions and I had to keep asking him to repeat himself. Made me feel really stupid. Coming and going by the front entrance these guys never greeted anyone and just looked extremely bored! Being in the customer service industry myself , my thought was these guys need to go …….. our stay was comfortable. breakfast was just ok…..

The hotel was in a good location with restaurants and the mall close by; however, the hotel smelled like cigarettes as soon as you walked in. My non-smoking room also smelled like cigarettes. The guy that initially checked me in at the front desk seemed like he couldn't have cared less about his job and definitely didn't have the sense of hospitality I feel that you should have when checking into a hotel. My room was missing a shower curtain and the microwave did not work. This hotel could definitely benefit from some upgrading and a good deep clean to get out the smell of cigarettes that seems to permeate through the whole building and rooms.

Booked this hotel due to its 8.4 rating on Expedia. Arrived at 10pm expecting a smoke free room. Room clearly had been smoked in, front desk said there were no other rooms and gave us some air freshener. Went to make the pullout bed, and there were no linens and the mattress was filthy. Would never recommend staying at this hotel.

One night Only

We only stayed 1 night. The room was booked because it had a sleeper sofa so my kids could have their own space. However, when I pulled out the bed part of the sofa it was full of dirt, crumbs, and stains. Also, there was not any bedding for it. The sheets on both of the beds had pet or human hair on them even though the first apperance of the beds were nicely made. I asked the desk for clean sheets and was given the wrong size and the also had hair on them. The room also smelled very musty. Breakfast was not stocked and the juice machine was broken. However the biscuits and gravy were good. The location was good. Not far from the I-485 Blue Link Station to take you into the city for a football game, basketball game, concert, or to hang out downtown Charlotte.
