Amazing home for large Group

Sugarland is beautiful. We had a total of 23 people in the home for just under a week, with ages ranging from 9 up to 63. There was something to keep everyone entertained, any time of the day. The kitchen was stocked so well with double appliances for large groups. The only thing we thought they were a little short on was glass wear. Just grab some solo cups at the grocery so you're not washing each time you use. The bedrooms were very comfortable and everyone having their own full bathroom was so nice. The hot tubs were great on the super cold evenings. Indoor pool was a favorite for the kids. The description to get to the home was spot on. The driveway up to the home is quite steep. If you're not comfortable with mountain roads, then you may want to find another property on lower ground. 10 out of 10 would come back again!!

Excellent house

It was an awesome house for our needs. When there was any issue that came up, the response time was excellent. We did find, however, that on the main floor the couches were very uncomfortable and very hard to sit in. The beds were very comfortable and overall the house was perfect.

Family Vacation

Our stay was amazing. The property and views were beautiful. The house is spacious and great for large family gatherings. The house was a bit worn in some places (peeling paint in pool, scratches in floor and tables) but none of this interfered with our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the proximity to town was perfect. Also the communication and attention to guests was spot on.

Family vacation at Sugarland

Sugarland was all we had hoped for; spacious very clean rooms, amazing outdoor view, wonderful pool and two hot tubs, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We would have liked caddies in the showers and a kitchen sink disposal. My only 2 complaints were that the racing game didn’t work even after “repaired”, but the most upsetting for was we had only one working dishwasher as the other one was “inoperable” from the beginning and “needed replaced” per repairman but didn’t happen during our week so with 28 people eating we had lots of washing by hand. However, despite these inconveniences, we had the most wonderful, memorable, fantastic week in an incredible house at the top of the mountain with a spectacular view!

Yes, to the house!!!

House was gorgeous, it was just like the pics that were posted so that was a plus as you never know. The property people where always very quick at getting back with us or addressing any concerns/issues we had. Mostly the games (but I don't fault them at all for that), they needed to call in a specialist and did what they could to keep resetting them. It was nice that there was 2 of everything for such a big family. The kids/parents were in the pool and hot tub at some point every single day. Everyone can find something wrong with a house if they want to as it will never be perfect no matter what you pay but I truly have no complaints that would stop me from recommending this house to another family.

Joe’s 65th B-Day Celebration

Twenty-nine people gathered in this house for a family vacation. Accommodations were great and exactly as described! The kids loved the pool/hot tubs. Adults loved the large exterior gathering area. Highly recommend this property if traveling with a large group.

The views make up for any downsides since it is on the top of the mountain. Lots of space for our family of 28. Well stocked kitchen made all our cooking easy. Convenient for handicapped. Pool and hot tubs got a lot of use. Property, pool and hot tubs were clean. Downside...couches are awful; like a futon, very uncomfortable.

Even more amazing than the listing shows!

Don’t hesitate to book Sugarland! We had a big family group, ranging from 2 to 92, and we had an incredible stay. We loved: the panoramic mountain views, the generous room sizes, all bedrooms are ensuite and there are 1/2 baths on each floor. The indoor swimming pool as well as the covered outdoor hot tubs were a big hit! We spent the most time on huge covered outdoor deck with a lot of seating, big TV to watch sports, two grills, a gorgeous firepit and - the deck led straight into the great room and kitchen. There was always a group sitting at the two long farmhouse tables. The kitchen was terrific with two of everything and very well stocked with any cookware items you might need. The AvantStay group made everything easy. All questions were answered quickly and professionally. They had the pool heated and ready for us and the pool itself was sparkling clean - and no smell that many indoor pools have. The sofas in the great room were low and uncomfortable - I bet they’re already slated for an upgrade. Truly an incredible property which has made lifetime memories for us!

Lovely weekend getaway for a large group

We had a wonderful stay. This property comfortably hosted my family and my wife's family. The backdrops are incredible from the balconies. Not as clean as it needed to be.

The pics on the site are way better than in person. The furniture is different on the porch/deck. The swimming pool was NOT clean at all so we didn't even want to use it. The air conditioner did not work upstairs and it was 100 degrees outside. They did send a maintenance guy who had to change the filters that were disgusting. But that interupted our retreat a bit. The stairway from the main deck to the lower deck was blocked off with caution tape as well. Overall the property itself was good but needed to be thoroughly cleaned for the price you pay for it.

Family celebration

We had the best time and everyone enjoyed this property. There were 22 adults and never did we feel cramped! Comfy beds and having a bathroom associated to ever bedroom was awesome and gave everyone the privacy they needed! The queen bunks gave our adult grandsons their own comfy bed too! The view from each of the decks was perfect with comfortable chairs to enjoy just talking, reading or just enjoying the view of the Smokey Mountains. Lots of room. Something for everyone! We enjoyed the hot tubs - the pool was awesome the game room offered arcade games and billiard competitions. The theater room allowed big screen viewing of the soccer games and movies! Even a theater popcorn machine!! Enough room for us to cook breakfast and dinners and be able to sit all together. I can’t say enough about this property. If you have a large group - this is definitely the place for you. Easy access to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg!! We had no problems at all - but the fact that I received a personal text from our hosts for communication if I needed anything was great!! It’s on top of the mountain - and the drive steep to get to the house - but plenty of room for parking right outside the front door. (We had 6 cars) Overall great place to stay. Thank you Sugarland- we had a blast!!!

Amazing Home

We had a family reunion of 26 people & this home was more than comfortable for all of us. Property is on top of the mountain w/ amazing views & privacy. Home was clean, beds comfortable, & pretty much everything you’d need for a weeks stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better home to enjoy all our family who traveled from all over the US to be here. A trip we’ll never forget & already planning to rent the same home again next year.

Top of the mountain!

House was great. With awesome views from the very top of the mountain. Great pool and nice layout. The property management company left a lot to be desired however. Called and texted several times about trash pickup and pool/hot tub cleaning. They responded but no one ever showed for either.

Incredible property

The owners and management (Avantstay) didn’t miss a thing! We arrived to a rental property that felt like we were walking into home. Everyone was delighted to have a beautifully decorated Christmas tree to greet us. There were decorations in several places that set the tone for our family Christmas gathering from the mantel decor to the gingerbread man kit and chocolates on the kitchen counter. The 12 bedrooms en-suite were perfect for our large extended family. The pool and hot tubs were ideal and very much enjoyed by the kids and adults too. The arcade games were a real bonus! The kitchen was well-equipped with 2 ranges, 2 refrigerators, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, 2 blenders, 2 coffee pots and every piece of cookware and utensils anyone would need to prepare a meal for a crowd. The mattresses were very comfortable and we had plenty of towels for our needs. Unlike many places we’ve stayed, we had use of some condiments, coffee and filters as well as laundry supplies. It was a little chilly to take advantage of the porch and decks but we did make use of the fire table. The location is ideal and very close to all the fun of Pigeon Forge and just a very short trip to Dollywood. The management was very responsive to our request for additional hot pads and any questions we had about operational items. They communicated often to make sure everything was up to or exceeded our expectations. We look forward to returning to this beautiful property. Thank you AvantStay - y’all were great to work with!

The house and views were beautiful. The layout was great for our purposes. Every room was very similar with a private bath. We did have a few issues though. There was no pantry to store food. The outdoor trash cans were mostly full and smelled. We had to really work to find room for our trash. We did not realize we would be in such a densely populated area. There were parties in nearby cabins with music blaring until 2:00 in the morning Friday and Saturday night. Lastly, we did not like the QR code internet connection process. We need to connect some laptops that could not scan the QR code and we could not find anything else with the internet password.
