Worst hotel I have ever stayed

The hotel has the worst customer service. Upon arrival at about 3.30pm, we were told that check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am, strictly no extension unless we are club members. We were told to hang around the lobby till 4pm, very inflexible. When we request for 1 extra towel, we were told it is chargeable as 1 guest is entitled to 1 towel per day. The next day when we got back to the hotel, we noticed that the hand towels were not changed as one of the towels was damped. I called for a change of towels but was told to pick up from the front desk myself. At the front desk, the receptionist said that housekeeping has complained that we put our skincare and cosmetic on one of the hand towels, if there is stain, we will be charged upon check out. This was really annoying. When I asked why the towels were not changed, she said they were still clean, no need to change. This was so contradicting. How do they determine if the towels are dirty enough to change? When there is stains? And we are charged for stains!!! Not only towels were not changed, the cups we used were not washed, toilet rolls and tissue were not replenished. When we asked for toilet rolls, we were told to wait till housekeeping make up our room to replenish. We have to insist that we get the toilet rolls. I wonder what does the housekeeping do everyday. We stayed on a non-smoking floor but the corridor smell of cigarette and saw cigarette butt on the floor. Our 3 nights stay was very unpleasant.

Little service except noisy and loud announcement.

I intentionally await until today to write my review as there's little service (real service except the LOUD noisy Japanese announcement of service when you stepped into the hotel. It's annoying and shocked loud noise - sounded like "been programed" to speak out. Since I'm too lazy to shop around for other hotel, I booked without paying much attention. The front desk offers little service and rigid attitude. Only one person at night shift, so don't expect for any extra service help. She is there is only one person in duty and when I asked why I saw there were two 10 minutes ago, the answer is the other person us TAKING A BREAK! Really? give me a BREAK! Besides she was on here l-o-n-g phone conversation kept ignoring my existence standing at the front desk for 2-3 minutes...... What an attitude? Especially this is a Japanese-type or maybe even owned by Japanese Group? It's assumed they lost the famous traditional Japanese politeness! Watch out your briefcase or handbag! Heard the surrounding areas are not safe if walking alone. Robbery has been occurred.

Nice hotel but filled with China tourist

No doubt its a nice hotel with amazing staff from their driver to front desk to the room cleaner but unfortunately if you're looking for a good hotel to stay, avoid this hotel at all cost as it's being filled with dozens and dozens of rude China tourist who is there for their money game seminar and I could not believe that this hotel is allowing them to be part of this ponzi scheme. Breakfast is a nightmare and this chinese tourist will be smoking in their room filling the whole floor with smoke despite this hotel being a non smoking hotel. Naga has better quality room. Avoid this hotel at all cost, it'll be my last stay with Toyoko ever. Sorry

Japanese style Hotel in Phnom Penh

Location wise it's near Aeon Mall (5 min walk), Naga World casino (5 min walk) and about a 5 min drive from Diamond Island Kids Park (quite fun for kids if you have faith in their maintenance). It's about a 10 to 15 minute drive from the main tourist attractions. It was very clean. Staff spoke some English and got the job done. Although our check in had a slight hiccup owing to them getting confused who had prepaid and who hadn't. Breakfast was good if you're used to Japanese style breakfasts that business type hotels provide in Japan. Rooms were clean and pretty spacious. But no frills. One pillow a room. Lots of TV channels though. So not too bad. Not a bad place to stay for the price.

The location is great and the hotel is 5 mins to the AEON Mall. By 2018, another super mall next to the hotel called The Bridge will be opened. Toyoko Inn also provides shuttle service from hotel to the airport 2 pm & 7 pm (I am too sure of this timing) and the shuttle from the airport to the hotel transfer is at 4 pm and 9 pm.

Convenient and Clean Hotel

Very convenient location. Clean and simple. However, don't expect much service from the front desk. We needed some help in the room but they can actually tell us there's no one available to go up. If you need a convenient and reasonably priced hotel, without much frills, this would be the one.

Hotel facility was great although hot water did not work initially. The reception staff were generally unhelpful , were quite condersending about issue with internet wifi. They did respond when they realised it was actually a hotel problem not just a nobody asking for help. ody
