The property has been recently renovated. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable in size for the city. However the hotel controls the air conditioning in your room and you can’t lower it past 68 degrees, which it never reached so the thing ran on and off all through the night. My husband barely slept. For what we paid per night, we should be able to control the room temperature, especially at bedtime after an 85 degree day. The breakfast was nothing special; typical hotel spread. The neighborhood was walkable and had a number of lively restaurants and bars nearby. Rentable bikes were located across the corner of the hotel.

Regrettably, an individual contracted an illness during our stay at the hotel. Despite our repeated attempts to contact the hotel through various channels, including phone calls and emails, we were met with no response. The hotel staff was also aware of the situation but continued to send messages regarding arrival, rest, and departure at a time when the individual was in the hospital bed.

The continental breakfast was good. Free water bottles was a nice touch. I did not like the temperature controls in the room. 68 degrees was the coolest temperature allowed, and on a hot, humid day, that is not cool enough for sleeping. Location is great -- close to theaters and restaurants and the shopping on Walnut St. As long as the room temperature doesn't bother you, I'd say go for it!

It was compact, comfortable, unique design Style, and I like the fact that it had a restaurant where you could get free breakfast. They provided complimentary bottles of water and the front desk. The staff always greeted you and asked if you needed anything. The location was near a lot of great restaurants and shops.

Upon arrival Noone was there to let us in the door. (Late). We stood there waiting for someone to answer the phone until luckily someone with a key card let us in. We then stood at the desk for 15 minutes before then being helped by someone "off the clock" and their valet companion who had previously been hanging out on the couch. I called ahead of time to ask about parking as we had never been here. I was assured there was ample parking around. There was not. So we opted to pay the $70 (!) Valet fee. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location. (OH, and I guess artsy wallpaper.) If you are traveling with kids do not stay here. The room is the size of a sardine can. (At $300 as well). The layout and set up were awful. Breakfast was your typical microwaved eggs and awful coffee.
