The proximity to shops is nice. However, this is down a dark alley that can be concerning at night. You walk into a building that is in disrepair with a very strong odor and then up a very narrow staircase to the fourth floor. There was a large construction site on the floor below and a pipe that occasionally poured water onto the floor in the hall.When in the apartment it is now in need of serious maintenance. We had to have the issues addressed on several occasions. A bathroom door that was stuck in the door jam and wouldn't close, then when addressed, it was so loose that it wouldn't stay closed. The bathroom shower was very dirty and leaked everywhere, the closet system in one room was falling down when we arrived, the kitchen sink was broken and one evening we had no hot water. The property manager would call in someone to fix it, but time was not arranged in advance, and the handy man was sent into our apartment without warning.Further complicating the rental, there is a group answering messages within VRBO separate from the property manager on WhatsApp. And you are required to pay the rental and a security deposit through a separate site. Additionally, we needed a baby crib which is advertised in the rental. Once we booked, they would not confirm this was available until the day before. While we did get the crib, we should not have to wait without this detail confirmed. Overall, the stay was not as represented and very disappointing.
