Great little cottage. Perfect for a couple, not a great place for big family. Close walk to beach and everything was a really close drive. Loved the dognut shop in walking distance. Overall enjoyed our stay

Weekend getaway

If you’re looking for a quiet beach trip this is the place. Just a short walk and you’re at the beach. The property was clean and well maintained. There was a slight problem with the key pad that caused a mild inconvenience but the property manager was on it and resolved it right away. I definitely recommend and I would stay again.

Just what we hoped. Quiet corner away from the street and two minute walk to the beach. Carousel Grocery and Gift store better than Pier Park Mall by a long shot!

Perfect location, very close to beach access.

The cottage was clean. I had to buy toilet paper as there wasn't any when we arrived. Also bought air freshener right away because the place smelled like an ashtray and made me sick to my stomach. It was very clean though. Smaller than the pictures make it out, but it was fine for my husband and I. 1/2 block to beach access and if you look in the right area you can see the beach from the deck. Very quiet/private location. It is dated, needs some paint, less rugs (dingy) and furniture is not comfortable. Lounger seat in living room smelled like urine, threw a couple blankets over it. Bed is squishy soft, but we slept well in it. If you need a place to sleep and stay on the beach like we did, it was overall a nice stay. For the price, it was worth staying again especially if they update furniture.

Sister trip perfect

My sister and I were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Laguna Beach area close to the beach. This was perfect. Small but comfortable; short walk to beach; close to our favorite restaurant, ice cream shop, and grocery store. Plan to stay there again!

Cute little place that suited us perfectly.

Easy to rent and had clear instructions and no hassle. Clean and cute. It dont do your diet any good to be that close to the doughnut shop 😁. Will definitely go back. THANK YOU for a great experience.

Not as expected

This was listed as a ‘1 Bedroom.’ It isn’t. It is a studio. Had I known this, I would never have booked it. My husband and 2 teenage daughters arrived to find ‘no doors anywhere.’ The only place they could close was the tiny bathroom to change. Also, the only way this place is 1000 square feet is if they include the porch. When I contacted the owner and asked if we could trade to another available rental and pay the difference, I was told ‘I could rent the other if I wanted but I should have dealt with any issues BEFORE I arrived.’ How could I tell it was a studio from description and pictures is beyond me. They left the property after one night and spent the rest of the time in a 2 bedroom rental with another company. We lost the cost of this property and I refused to book the other place by the same company because I wasn’t going to give them any more money. I will be avoiding this company from now on. Never had trouble with VRBO before this.

Photos did not tell a complete story

It is a nice location, fairly close to the beach. Also very quiet but no one was staying near us. There is a great grocery store and donut store very close by. The towels were very nice and the hot water works very well. I was very disappointed with the actual property. Kitchen cabinets that were broken, a piece of linoleum in the bathroom completely unglued, the rugs were very dingy. The place was overall clean but many things needed to be updated such as the bathroom vanity and the rugs. Also there were little things missing that I found a bit irritating. No hairdryer, only one garbage bag, very little toilet paper, several glass surfaces but no Windex in order to clean them. I’ve stayed in several vacation rentals and this is my second Home Away. This is the first time that I literally felt ripped off and wish that I could receive a partial refund. If the photos had included things such as the loose linoleum or broken kitchen cabinets, I never would have stayed there.

Quiet Residential Area

There were a few small issues when I arrived. I had no contact information from the management company That was my concern. I resolved the issues myself. The rental property is fine considering the cost for the five days. It's quiet and close to the beach. This is an older property which is convenient to the west side of PCB.

Great Location

Cute little place with nice deck outside with a view of the water. Short walk to dunes and beach. Grocery store a five minute walk. Everything was very clean. It is an older property so has a bit of a lived in look with lots of pictures and other decorations. The window blinds work OK, but could use replacement. Nice private location surrounded by trees and bushes.

No frills, but clean, cute, and great location.

This is a small, old cottage with no frills, but clean, decorated well, and has everything you need. It's 1/2 block walk from a beautiful, quiet beach. I have been to this beach different times of the year, and it's never crowded. It's a close drive to anything commercial that you might need/want. My only suggestion to owners would be to add a porch light for late returns, but, that being said, the flashlight on my phone kept us on track. The daily price was amazing, but be aware that the fees tacked on add up.

Great location!

Nice size property, very comfortable bed, & the best part was it’s a very short walk from the beach! The neighborhood was nice and calm with cute stores and restraunts all in walking distance! Away from the hustle and bustle of PCB but not far if that’s where you want to go. Only downfall was the cottage was very dated, and the baseboards and floors where very dingy looking, and the shower is so small it’s hard to move in, also no washer and dryer. All in all not bad for a short weekend getaway, but wouldn’t stay much longer then that.

Old Block Cottage (Cozy)

Pros: Huge side by side fridge Half a block to beach Nice deck Lots of lizards to keep the bugs down Cons: Window A/C needs shot of freon or replaced No umbrella on deck No washcloths All extension cords and wires should be placed in channel tubing Junk laying all around outside All in all we had a great time. Keep updating the place. It's stood the test of time. Go all out for updating it. Just don't expect Taj Mahal when you get there. Off the beaten path / can't see from roadway Bed was comfy

Neat, clean, nicely decorated, lots of options outdoors with two patios, grill

When we arrived owner was setting up condo with new stuff- blender, coffee maker, microwave, fan etc. she put a new pillow top on bed and it was very comfortable. Access to beach and very cool grocery made everything convenient. Great place for a couples getaway. Quiet community. Can hear the waves sitting on the deck in the evening.

Bliss!

The cottage is set up so that it is tucked away off of the road, but easily accessible. The decor was adorable and comfy. Everything was so clean and new! I had the pleasure of meeting Linda the owner. She was completely accommodating and sweet. Having that kind of personality, it is understandable that she enjoys seeing people have a good time and feel comfortable while staying at her property. The beach was a short walk, but I drove & parked because I was alone and had a lot of stuff to lug around. IN fact, being alone, I wasn't worried about my safety because of the way the cottage was situated. I also chose to be away from the busier hub of PCB so I could have some quiet reflective time. I went up the beach road in the evenings and found some great restaurants where I had a couple drinks and even met up with some really nice people! It was such an enjoyable stay and I was truly sad to have to leave my last day. :-(

The owner was great but this was not a VRBO. Had to deal with a company called Vacasa!

Vacasa is the worst to deal with. I will never rent any property managed by them again. If u use VRBO you expect to deal with the property owner. Real people, not a corporation from the left coast. Avoid these this company like the plague. Even the local rep is rude. Crude and socially unacceptable. Overall, this was a great property for a simple vacation. Super owner which was wonderful to know.
