Our recent stay was generally positive. The check-in process was efficient, and the room accurately reflected the provided description, with the exception of a noticeable mildew odor. The view from the room was exceptional.

Our stay at The Calypso Towers

Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The condo, the location & the view. It was all incredible. The cleanliness of the condo was 10/10. The layout, decorations and the amenities were wonderful and we were very comfortable our entire stay. Our condo was immediately off of the elevator, so that was easy! Parking wasn’t bad either, everything was pretty seamless overall. There was almost never a wait for the elevator. We will absolutely recommend and return to the Calypso Condos.

Needs a good update!

We got exactly what we paid for. As the other reviews stated, the bed does sag in the middle and that’s exactly where you slide! The couch is very old and hard. There were no throw pillows to help with that. Once we got there, we placed a fitted sheet over the couch as it appeared very dirty and stained. When the lights are on, you cannot tell. The stove storage area door is not attached and will not shut good. There was only 2 of us but we only had 4 coffee cups! It smelled so horrible that we went back to Walmart to grab some air fresheners to help with it. It smelled old or mildewy. It is not what we are accustomed to at Calypso, but again-we got what we paid for!

It was an ok stay

I loved the location of our stayed the place it self needs a lot of improvements. It has a kitchen but not many dishes to cook with and the ones that are there aren’t very useful. Most of the places I’ve stayed atleast have salt or things for you to make coffee this one has nothing. So if you don’t plan to cook is perfect to stay at but if you want to cook make sure to prepare your self to get everything.

Spectacular View!

My wife is an all unapologetic beach baby. She was ecstatic to have such a beautiful view of the emerald-colored Gulf of Mexico. So, it was an ideal place to celebrate our 45 years of marriage! Appreciated the outdoor parking for my lifted Ram 1500 too since it wouldn’t fit in the covered parking garage. Instructions were complete if you read them which I heartily recommend. And the king-sized bed was fabulous; we slept like babies on it, even with my bad shoulder! Now for some minor suggestions/upgrades: 1. Need brighter lighting in bedroom and living room. 2. Install more hooks on backs of doors b/c there was no place to hang wet towels or clothes. 3. Provide 2 large bath towels for each guest instead of only one. 4. Tell guests to bring their own beach towels. 5. Install some throw rugs—at least three—to absorb moisture and any fine sand particles that made it past the foot showers coming off the beach. These are little things that I feel most people might really appreciate. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience!

Very nice complex

Calypso is a very nice place. Disappointed that you had to pay an extra $50 for parking. The condo was clean but a drawer was missing in the dresser and the bed and the pull out sofa were not comfortable at all.

Valentine’s week stay was excellent!

We loved the condo- decor was beautiful and there is a sliding glass door to the balcony in the bedroom. The only downside was that the kitchen wasn’t stocked well- just the bare essentials. Overall, though, it was a wonderful stay - we will be back!

Excellent!

My wife and I stayed 5 days and it was wonderful. The condo was the perfect size. It was our first time staying at Calypso. The tiki bar, drinks and food were all good. Short walk to pier park. Will book this one again!

Summer Vacation

The condo was perfect for the four of us. Plenty of room and the kids had a blast. Perfect location right off the elevator. The only downfall of the trip was the beach access. Out of the Calypso to the beach there isn't a ramp. With all the kids stuff it was difficult getti g a wagon up and down the stairs.

Pictures are deceiving

The location of this condo is fantastic and that is why we booked here. However, the pictures of this unit are deceiving. It was so dirty. I'm not sure the cleaning crew did anything after the previous renters were there. Our overall impression was that someone went into their closet and pieced together the kitchen appliances, dishware, flatware, glassware and decorations. We have stayed in Calypso before and will again, but will not rent this condo again.

Great time!

We enjoyed this condo. It was just big enough for our little family of four and located right by the elevators which was convenient. It was clean. It had plenty of seating on the balcony, comfy beds, smart tv which the kids enjoyed, and plenty of dishes/appliances for convenience. The only negatives were the ice maker did not work (though there are ice cube trays which was helpful), and the lighting in the bathroom is very dim & no light on the balcony. We had a great experience, though and love staying at calypso. We would definitely book with these nice folks again! The communication was great and they answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly.

Perfect location!

The whole property was very clean. The elevators always smelled like they’d been freshly sanitized. The room was nice and right off the elevator. Property managers replied quickly when I had a question. Over all I’d definitely stay here again.

Condo 1805 East

We enjoyed the condo. Very nicely decorated. We have stayed at calypso for many years and love the area. Few things we noticed: Veneer on master bath and kitchen cabinets peeling up. Kitchen had no measuring spoons, one measuring cup, limited large knives, no lids to frying pan or Dutch oven. Master bath fan didn’t work. Burned out light in master bath vanity light.
