Sad - But It Has Potential

Place was clean and adequate enough for a one night stay to see a local show downtown. However, the clientele in our area of the hotel was a war zone. First off upon entering the hotel they sent around back to a dimly lit entrance. Five hoodlam looking guys were smoking cigarettes and weed within 10’ of the entry door. We had to make two trips back and forth past them, not great. Then the guy in the room next to us was either overdosing or puking his brains out or maybe both at 3:00 am and then he was yelling and squawking for the next two hours. Then there was a fight in the hallway right outside our door and the walls are paper thin. Never fell back asleep.

This hotel is dated and possesses inherent design flaws. Our room window faced an atrium indoor pool-game room-gym complex, rather than a window to the outside. Smelling richly of chlorine, we pondered whether the A/C was simply circulating air from the pool. Compounding the damp dankness this afforded us was the lack of any fan or ventilation in the bathroom. The floors, towels, and surfaces remained moist to the touch at all hours. The grout was distinctly discolored.
