Great place to relax

Lovely place for a relaxing break. Having Cocktails at the pool bar was a perfect way to unwind in the afternoon. Can be a bit tricky to find a free sun lounger by the pool. But there are plenty of other places to sit nearby. Staff are genuinely friendly and relaxed. And its only 5 minutes from the airport.

I would like to see some of our local villages bring in some of their handmade art/craft to sell. Give back to the community. Like mini market stalls that way tourist can look, buy in the convenience of the resort grounds. Like to see more local cuisine on the menu for the tourist to taste the lovely organic food/produces that the island has to offer. Overall the resort itself is beautiful just need Management/staff to think of ways/things for tourist to do/eat so they will go away with great memories and experiences that will bring them back and tell others who haven't come to Samoa it's an island paradise to book in for your next holiday destination.

After visiting Fiji for the previous two years we decided to venture a little further this year to Samoa and chose the Sheraton due its location on the coast. We flew in super early in the morning and found the airport transfer a little confusing but eventually found our way to the resort in the early hours of the morning. When we arrived at our ground floor room we found it to be quite large and with beautiful views to the ocean only metres away. Breakfast was a nice buffet with plenty of choices. The made to order omelette was the highlight. Post breakfast, our days were spent splitting our time between the pool and nearby beach. We liked that there was plenty of umbrellas and lounges and it was relatively easy to order food and drinks this area. But we felt the resort could do with some more activities such as kayaks and ISUPs. The lunch and dinner menus were nice but we felt after a few days that it did become a little bit repetitive. We organised a full day trip through the front desk which wasn't cheap but ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. One thing I would advise people to be careful off is during the check-in process. We were overcharged by about $200aud and despite speaking to the manager twice, I got nowhere. So I would advise you to have really clear and easy read documentation regarding your booking and any extras and costs. I would also allocate some extra money as the conversion rate used by the hotel was much higher than what I could find.

We loved the quiet isolated feel of the place. We worried maybe being so close to the airport might be disturbing but it really wasn't noticable with very few flights. The gym and spa are a walk past some abandoned old buildings and not well lit but it's fine during the day. The beaches are lovely and delightful for swimming. The trees and garden are also beautiful with surprising bird life. Proximity to the ferry makes for an easy day trip to Savaii.

The breakfast options were great. Lots of variety and quality were good. Dining and eating at the hotel was always comfortable and without fuss. The staff were terrific. Very helpful, friendly and professional. It was lovely to come back to our rooms, which were serviced at an excellent standard, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable and clean. It was one of my favourite things about staying there, knowing I would have a good night's rest on a comfy bed!

Super comfortable beds. Unfortunately, my room wasn’t serviced at all during my 3 night stay. Service was pretty slack and slow, particularly since it wasn’t busy. Had to ask for everything. However, this hotel is in a beaut spot with a lovely lagoon beach and plenty of sunloungers. Good options ok. Parts of the building could do with some maintenance, clean paths etc, clean bathroom mirrors. Bathroom sink kept blocking. It’s nice, but not luxury. They could up their game a little to take it to the next level.

The Sheraton was such a lovely place to stay for the one night that we had here! The staff were amazing and let us check in early with a lovely towel and flower ensemble for my 40th birthday, the hot stone massage was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great for breakfast but the bar menu wasn’t anything special, apart from that it was well worth the money.

We had a lovely stay. Access to the private beach was amazing. Will return. Be prepared to eat in house for every meal though, as no other local options. Buffet breakfast was amazing with a large variety. Staff very friendly and helpful.
