Good deal but they will try to sell you timeshare

Upon check-in I was directed to the "Concierge " desk to get my parking permit...there they tried to get me to attend a 90 minute presentation, presumably to sell me a timeshare. We were tired from driving so I wasn't in the mood to jump through Wyndham's hoops, so I declined. The last thing I want to do on a weekend trip is to be held hostage for a sales pitch. The room was clean and comfortable with a well-appointed kitchen...a great value for the price. We were on a lake with a balcony, which was very pleasant. Unfortunately there were rodent droppings on the deck chairs, so we couldn't really sit out there. All in all, a good price with a few drawbacks.

Best place I've stayed in town!

For such a great town there aren't many options for a nice place to stay - this is my choice now!

Timeshare property with aggressive sales attack.

What a surprise to find I was at a timeshare not a hotel. There are no services, aggressive sales pitch to buy timeshare, Front desk was real snotty and rude becaue we were not timeshare people. Very unhelpful, directing us to help desk which was their sales desk. We had to wash the towels and clean up the condo before we left. Never again!!

Pictures are deceiving... old, outdated, units are not comfortable

Pros: Free Internet, unit had a nice view of the golf course
My husband and I had pre-paid for this condo for 5 nights for our trip. Once we arrived and looked at the unit, if I could have gotten my money back, we would have left then. The pictures posted are NOT what the units look like. The couch in the living room was like sitting on a rock, the bed was wore down and felt like sleeping on the floor, and the pillows were flat (all 5 of them!). The fan in the bathroom was hanging by wires and made an awful noise. We called the fron desk, but nothing was done, nor were they concerned. We stayed here when this property was a Fairfield and they have done nothing to up date the units. My advice, do stay here!

The resort was nice and comfortable, but...

Pros: Quiet
We checked in at the frontdesk and had a reservation for one night. We were given very little information about discounts only pointed in the direction of the activities center which closed early on Sundays. We had to go back to the frontdesk area to get our discount card after we were asked if we were offered the concierge package. The lady that helped us with the package was very nice and helpful. On our way to the unit we stopped and took a look at the swimming pool which was a basic workout facility with a nice pool. When we arrived at our room we were suprised to see a jetted tub, which was a bonus. The room was spacious and nice and the price was right. The next morning after check-out we sat down for the sales pitch which lasted about an hour and a half. I mentioned to the lady that we had to leave because I had to be some place at a certain time. These people do not care about where or what you have as far as time frames. I am not sure how they are trained but they are like VULTURES!!! BEWARE!!! I was told that Wyndham has bought Worldmark and that if we did not buy their timeshare that our points would not count as much. My credit was checked with not really even asking. They are rude and there was another older couple to the left of us who were very upset and I heard them say "so what your telling me is I have spent a lot of money on points through Worldmark and now your telling me my points are not going to count for anything?" I understood where these people were coming from when the sales representative tried to pressure us also. I had a phone call that was somewhat of an emergency and the lady understood this, but they were not concerned and still tried to sell trial points for $3000. I had to tell the gentleman (rudely) excuse me while I was talking on the phone, because I do not think he or any others cared. I am not asking for someone to care, just curtosy. I will be calling headquarters and complaining about how these people approach members with their sales pitch (this is definitely uncalled for). I have to agree with a previous comment that they can go stick it. It really makes me feel like never even buying a timeshare or upgrading ever again. Once I get this thing paid off I don't care if I can only use it for one day (ridiculous). That is pretty much it (if its worth the $50 of making you angry then go ahead and sit through this thing), just remember you've been forwarned and I hope many see this and some of the other comments before going through this.

Don't Know if I would go again.....

The bed was the smallest queen I have ever slept on. I think it was probably a double, and the ""queen size"" ad was misleading. Only 3 wall sockets worked and this was a big hassle. the wireless internet worked about half the time. the room was clean but old....the towels were bare-thread qualtiy and the shower was not up to standards....I would have thought more of Wyndham.....the bed was very lumpy and hard at the same time and the pillows were non-existant...

Third time was a big disappointment!

For the past three summers we have vacationed a week at this hotel. The first summer we stayed in the Peregrin units which were awesome. The next year we stayed in the Elk Run units which were even better. This summer, we were assigned the Ptarmigan B units. All of the B units are 396 sq. ft. with a small deck (2ft. x 6 ft). As we sat on the deck we had a view of only the bushes planted in front of the deck (they were high). We asked for another room and were told they would do what they could but they were pretty booked and it would cost us an extra fee which we were more than willing to pay. We stayed the week and as we went on our daily walk we saw many vacant units but were never accommodated. That was the biggest disappointment of all. Our advice would be to make sure you are satisfied with your room before you pay. This is the most we have ever paid and the worst accommodations we have had at this resort.

Quiet and Peaceful

We stayed in a really cute 1 bedroom condo that had a full kitchen totally stocked. Grocery is close by so would have been easy to buy groceries and cook at the condo. There's an indoor hot tub for each building (4 units in each building) but no one else was staying in ours so we had it all to ourselves which was nice. The room it is in has windows all around it that can be opened with a nice mountain view so it was romantic. Our unit was clean and seemed newer. The couch had a rip in it which was kind of tacky but otherwise it was nice. Bathroom was new and very clean but the shower is small and the showerhead sucked. Onsite there is an indoor pool, tennis courts, gym, even a little putting green. They had yoga, pilates, and other workout classes you can attend if you're staying at the resort. Overall a nice place, really comfortable and so quiet out there you feel like you're in the country, well, a really suburban looking country! Be warned, it is an "ownership resort". We didn't want to attend anything, even though they tried to give us gifts to do so, we had to say no about 3 times but after that they left us alone about it.
