One of the loveliest villas on St. Maarten, La Movina recently underwent an extensive refresh with new art, furniture, décor, and more, all of which will ensure a stay of highest caliber. The property is fully furnished across two independent levels, each equipped with its own private pool, large spacious living and dining area, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, large terraces and gardens, central air conditioning, and much more.

La Movina boasts two pools: a beach entry infinity pool on the upper level, with panoramic views of St Barthelemy, and a lap pool on the lower level. Wraparound patios on both levels provide areas to eat, lounge, and enjoy St. Maarten’s famous sunshine. You and your guests will also enjoy the villa’s hot tub, gardens, two gourmet kitchens, and chic indoor and outdoor living and dining areas.

The villa also has a fully air-conditioned, freestanding gym, one of the few properties on island with this feature. In addition to a separate full bathroom, the gym comes fully equipped with a treadmill, elliptical, spinning bike, free weights, ballet barre, yoga mats, and more. Sliding glass doors across the gym open completely, allowing you to get in your morning workout with views of the ocean.

The team at Movina is a world class one. We are delighted to meet guests at any of the airport’s car rental locations to escort you to Movina and help with luggage and settling in. Housekeeping is provided several times throughout the week to ensure a pristine environment throughout the villa, while our pool staff and gardeners ensure the same across the grounds and gardens.

The main level of Movina is composed of 4 bedrooms, a beautiful large dining and living room and a fully equipped kitchen, 4 ensuite bathrooms, powder room, a large standalone gym & pool house with additional full bathroom, and a gorgeous beach entrance pool and spa with stunning gardens. The ground level is composed of 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining and living room, 2 bathrooms, powder room, and a lap pool.

Our family finds it difficult to leave Movina whenever we are lucky enough to be there, but for those looking to explore the beauty of St. Maarten, Movina is in a perfect location. The property straddles the French and Dutch borders, providing equally easy access to both beautiful sides of the island. Dawn Beach is just a 2-3 minute drive from Movina’s quiet, gated neighborhood, with other beaches — including our favorite, Orient Bay, with its lovely restaurants and relaxing beach clubs — just a quick 10 minute drive along the coast. The charming town of Oyster Pond, home to a number of our favorite restaurants (and the best épicerie on the island!), is just down the road. Other island hotspots, including the gastronomic hub of Grand Case or the delightful boutiques of Marigot, are just a 15 minute drive away.

• Movina is located inside a gated community, with round-the-clock security, near the top of a beautiful oceanside hill. For guests renting vehicles, we recommend an SUV or a vehicle with four-wheel drive to ensure the drive is as smooth as possible.
• The property is approximately 6,000 square feet across two levels
• The two independent levels of the property provide a wonderful degree of privacy and are also joined together by an outdoor garden staircase. Please note there is no indoor staircase between the two levels of the home.
• Movina has six bedrooms, all with king beds — and we have the ability to convert two of these king bedrooms to have two twin beds instead, at your request
• The villa contains an array of beautiful bathrooms (including powder rooms on both the upper and lower levels and a full bathroom in the gym) with a unique configuration — and two of the bathrooms also have beautiful outdoor showers privately tucked away in the gardens
• Housekeeping is provided to Movina several times each week, and this frequency can be adjusted if desired with advance notice
• The property has two pools — an upper level infinity pool and lower level lap pool — and a hot tub tucked away in the gardens
• A washer and dryer are located in a laundry room on the upper level
