This hotel is Jacksonville state host hotel. We had to wait until they cleared out and rooms were cleaned. No refund offered nor discount for inconvenience.

Advertised to have a bar/restaurant where food was available. The kitchen was closed, not even any breakfast in the morning. We picked this hotel based on being able to eat dinner at the hotel. Have stayed at Hilton Garden Inn’s before (Oklahoma, etc.) and they were very nice and food was great. Also, there were parking lot lights shining in the room window all night. No way to close drapes or anything, just an opaque/see thru shade. And, to top it off, they charge $2 for a bottle of water in the room if you’re not a “diamond, gold or silver member”. Hotel staff were friendly, not their fault. Don’t stay here, save your money. We should get a refund since it was false advertising.

My first room #309 had a broken thermostat and the room was very hot and the A/C didn’t work it was 80 degrees and I was moved to another room #306 and again the A/C thermostat was broken and couldn’t cool the room to a comfortable temperature, the service technician said the room temperature was actually 74 degrees and the thermostat showed 66 degrees and it was late so I was stuck in an uncomfortable room for the night
