Hurricane Irma strikes - but we survived

Posted Sep 14, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Quiet location. Classy pool area. Pleasant staff. Spacious accommodation. Self sufficiency.
Cons: They don't replace missing inventory when requested such as cups, we did ask for these but none arrived. Not much of a problem though.
Location: Disney, Universal, shopping outlets, loads if restaurants within a 10 min drive.
World Quest Resort is a brilliant home away from home. The apartments are spacious clean and rather well equipped. The pool facilities are beautifully kept. The resort is however a 10 min car ride away from the general hubbub of the central tourist attractions, but we did not find this a problem. Our stay was marred by the hurricane but the resort staff remained onsite for the duration and gave advice to residents on what do do and how to prepare for the hurricane. We never lost power and the damage sustained to the grounds such as trees fallen down was quickly and efficiently dealt with. It was rather more like being a resident in a complex than a guest in a tourist hotel but we enjoyed this aspect. We did not opt for the daily cleaning service and managed perfectly well. The washer/dryer and dishwasher were a great bonus. I've never returned from holiday with so little laundry to do.

Beautiful pool and appreciated the Tiki Bar!

Posted Sep 14, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Quiet Location
Cons: Nothing!
Location: The resort setting is a little remote, but restaurants and pharmacies are just a few miles away if you have a rental car.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Loved the pool! I would definitely stay here again! Loved it!

Spacious, beautiful and close to Disneyworld

Posted Sep 13, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Space, and distance to Disneyworld
Cons: Maybe free towels daily for people staying there more than 5 days
Location: Disneyworld 10 min, Universal 25 min
From the moment I entered even the lobby, I was impressed. Staff was friendly. The room was beautiful, we had a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom suite, full kitchen with balcony view to the pool. It was just lovely. Will stay here again next time in Orlando

Convenient for Disney

Posted Sep 5, 2017 on Expedia
Overall a very good stay. Disney was easy to get to. Quiet area. Large pool and hot tub. Short drive to Walmart and Lake Buena Vista factory stores. Stress free drive to US192 with restaurants etc. Free coffee and tea near main reception area. Helpful staff. Some negatives though. Ants in our 3 bed condo. I know this is Florida but I saw lots of ants on our coffee table crawling on my iPad, and on the floor. Our condo also looked dated, looked clean at first sight but look behind nooks and crannies and things are not so good. Small safe deposit box. But these are fairly minor gripes though. One last thing - Worldquest is surrounded by nature and woodland but we were still shocked and excited to see a large snake slither across our path a few feet from the stairs going into our condo. Not really a criticism but I've read a few other guest report coming across snakes here so if you are petrified of snakes this might not be the best place for you.

Pros: Check in was smooth and easy and we love how close to everything this resort is!
Cons: Building 1 suites are in need of a major renovation.
Location: 5 minute drive to the Disney Gates, 10 minute drive to Sea World and 15 minutes away from Universal. Plenty of food options and shopping close by!
We have stayed at World Quest Resort over 6 times since it opened in 2006. We have stayed for 5 days all the way up to 30 days- so we have a very good feel for this resort. Check in was smooth and easy. Sheena took good care of us and had us in our room within 10 minutes of our arrival. Pool was fun along with the Tiki bar onsite for some drinks. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool as well! We love how close this property is to all the parks. You can pretty much be parking at all the parks within 15 minutes. It's also central to several Outlet malls and plenty of food choices. The only negative thing I would say is that building 1 suites need to be renovated. This building is 11 years old now and it's definitely time for a refresh. Staff were great and anytime we needed anything brought to our room it was done quickly and professionally. We Would definitely stay here again.

No "resort" feel

Posted Sep 4, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: The availability of a 3/3 setup for those who do not want to share these facilities. Hopefully other units have functioning amenities?
Cons: Try and have hot water for at least one night of a stay in hot, humid Central FL! Provide working appliances Deliver items as promised
Location: Close to I-Drive. Shopping Nearby.
I was pleased to find this hotel for a quick trip to FL. I needed three bedrooms and baths for comfort and privacy. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and the front desk attendant was very helpful. He was the only bright spot in this trip, I regret not making note of his name to properly recognize his efforts. He was patient while we gathered quick supplies for the next day's breakfast from the convenient on-site shop. At 2 AM, we finally settled in our rooms. Everyone wants a shower, so we retire to our individual rooms. I turn on the shower in the master bedroom and notice the water is lukewarm. There is a curly red hair in the shower stall. My hair is blonde. (have photo) The next day, our pricey bagels and cream cheese were of no use, since the toaster was broken. We call the front desk, and they say someone will look into it. We did not return until 10 PM. One of my travel partners asked for an additional blanket to be sent to the room and is told someone will be there within 20 minutes. It never arrived. The blanket in her bedroom was stained, as was the duvet in the master (have photos). I suffer through another cold shower. I used all my Expedia points towards this hotel and paid cash on top of that. I am very disappointed in what was described as a Superior Suite. I've stayed in 1-star hotels that at least had hot water.
