We accidentally booked the wrong day for exactly one week later. We booked the hotel after we called them and asked if an early checkout was available, thus they knew we were coming in that day. When we showed up an hour later, they would not transfer the booking and forced us to forfeit the future booking fee. The manager said I should have booked directly with Quality Inn/Choice Hotels instead of Hotels.com as “They hate Hotels.com and won’t make any concessions for Hotels.com clients”. The booking rate thru Hoteks.com was $25 lower.
Instead of arguing, I went ahead and booked a night, directly with the front desk manager and requested a refund.
Quality Inn management at this location and choice hotels, along with the possibility of hotels.com are not refunding the unused night. Which again, was a week later, and thus the room went unused.
This is extremely poor customer service and I assure you, I will not be staying at quality Inn any longer. It’s also makes me question hotels.com although they have been extremely good in the past.
