Great spot. Stayed here a couple days. Just newly renovated so everything is fresh and new. The check-in staff have super friendly customer servicing. Very pleasant with nice sniles. The bed is very comfy. Typical HI with the best pillows. Lots of soaps and shampoos. The free breakfast was good, everyone seemed pleased with the food. I didn't use the pool area. Area is well lit and feels to be a safe area. There's a large shopping mall 5 mins away, and food is only a 2 minute walk. You may have missed replacing the air conditioning filter. And the young lady in the breakfast area working by herself barely managed to keep up with the demand, but she was pleasant and smiled alot as everyone was looking for something. Kudos to her!!

Noisy air conditioner and no way to control it. Mentioned to front desk as we were heading out for evening and all they said is come talk to me why you get back. We came back at midnight and nothing done and had to sleep in hot and noisy room. Rest of room was great and continental breakfast great.

Unfriendly Check-in, Unsafe Pool

We were very disappointed with our experience at the front desk. The young woman (South Asian) was extremely unfriendly and seemed annoyed even though we were the only guests checking in at the time. When we asked a simple question about why one night had already been charged when we had selected to pay at the hotel, she responded with a cold, suspicious look as if we were trying to avoid payment, and gave us short, unclear answers. To make matters worse, there was an old, noisy fan at the front desk that sounded like a broken vacuum cleaner, which made the interaction even more unpleasant. It felt like dealing with someone at an old Western inn. The room itself was clean, and the housekeeping staff were incredibly kind and helpful — they were the best part of our stay. Because of the rain, the pool was crowded. Although there was a “no diving” sign, many children and adults were diving freely, and some kids were even practicing synchronized swimming routines. We quickly left because it felt like an accident waiting to happen. The pool area really needs better supervision and management.

On your mark, get set, go!…. To another hotel so you can get some sleep. The location next to a busy Calgary road made this stay terrible for our family. It. Was. So. Loud. Like trying to sleep next to a race track. Kids couldn’t sleep from the constant sound of traffic, horns, sirens at 5:30am. It may have been the location of our room (204) but we had a terrible sleep which took away from the rest of the stay which was overall fine. The hotel and rooms are clean and what you would expect at this price level, staff were fine, kids really liked the pool and slide, although we had to ask to have the pool opened when nothing was on at 8:15 (opens at 8). And because we were up so early with the noise we were ready to get in that pool.
