The location is excellent—truly just steps from the beach—and the beach itself was beautiful. The other residents we met were also very friendly.Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by maintenance issues and poor communication from the property management company. We observed extensive visible dark growth inside two of the three wall air conditioning units, along with a strong musty odor. A technician eventually replaced one unit and cleaned the other, but we were not provided with any testing or documentation identifying the nature of the growth.Additional maintenance issues included a master bathroom sink that would not drain, loose toilets, a shifting toilet seats, a loose toilet paper holder, and a broken coffee pot lid.The biggest frustration was the lack of communication. Despite repeated requests, we were not provided with timely updates or estimated service windows, and we spent much of the days of our vacation waiting for responses from the property management company, VRBO, and the technician instead of enjoying our trip.Once we contacted the owner directly, she was responsive, empathetic, and engaged in working toward a resolution. Our experience with the property management company, however, was very different.
