Rude staff ruin stay

Very clean. Lovely welcome by desk staff at 3.30. Room immaculate. Bathroom excellent partner especially enjoyed shower. And a very fine breakfast. Tv could do with more options and appreciated the ability to adjust room temperature through windows. Enjoyed our stay so much wanted to stay a little longer. And here we come to the interaction that coloured our whole stay. We politely requested the option to stay a little longer and were met with a flat no. No apologies. No 'let me see what i can do' just 'no' . Seems foolish to me to take such a stance. To lose another revenue stream and to alienate cusromers like this.

Excellent hotel in a great location

Love this hotel and have been staying annually for many years. I had concerns now that it has been taken over by Mecure, but it was very much the same, and it was lovely to see the same staff there as previously, including the very lovely Lindsey.

Look forward to staying here each visit

We stay here every year and always have. Its in a great location and has parking at a nominal fee. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only gripe is there are no bedside cabinets, just a small table. So nowhere to store undies.

Comfortable room & bed. Well run function that we attended. Good choice at breakfast. Would prefer butter & jams to be served in individual pots rather than as a big block of butter to cut off or open pots of jam. Quite a small car park that fills up quickly.

Housekeeping let you down.

Everything was going so well until I was rudely woken up with the housekeeping staff talking loudly on the corridor early on Sunday morning before 9 a.m. about how much they are overlooked in their jobs and ‘sales mess up all the time and we end up having to clean more than we do’. (It was more profanity then this but I’ve been asked to edit) They then proceeded to enter my room without knocking whilst there was a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door! And hoover the hallway! If I’d had the time to speak to the manager on check out, I would have, but I did not have enough time to catch somebody before my train back home. I urge the management to address this issue by emphasising the importance of staff members treating guests with respect and consideration. The current behaviour of the housekeeping staff appears to disregard the well-being of the guests in the building, which is unacceptable.
