Could have been better for a 4* hotel

The location of this hotel is excellent and easy to fine. However, upon checking in (after I had paid) I was informed that because I was only saying 2 nights, that I room would not be serviced, and if I needed fresh towels to let them know. Hang on, that's like paying for a car and then told the engine would not be included. If I had known in advance, I would have stayed somewhere else. I expect better for a 4* hotel, I have stayed in less star hotels, and have never been told that. If I wanted to make my own bed, I would have stayed at home. On a positive note, the staff were all very lovely! Unfortunately, I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel

Lovely Hotel and the staff were wonderful. We were visiting friend's for the weekend and the hotel was very convenient for us to see them. We chose the hotel because of the location near our friends village, its a great hotel but not somewhere I would choose to stay otherwise as the location meant going everywhere in a car and the surrounding roads were very busy and noisey. We were also dissapointed there wasn't a swimming pool as shown on the Internet. That said it was a lovely hotel and if you have reason to visit Northampton a great choice.
