Beautiful house

Perfect for family vacation. Property very nice. Only drawback is distance to attractions and our favorite restaurants on 7 mile beach.

Beautiful Home

Property was newer and well maintained. While some rentals can feel a little tired, this one was excellent. Clean, bright, and well furnished. Kitchen was well appointed. Location was excellent and we had a great stay. The choices made when building the home were smart and very functional. Well done. Highly recommend.

Very relaxed with enough amenities/activities to do in the Rum Point/North Shore area without the traffic and hassle of 7 mile beach. Great stay for our family vacation. We would use this property again for future Cayman trips.

Great space for family

The property is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Great for a family vacation. The property had nearly anything you may possibly need including extra towels, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. My only issue was communication with the property manager. During our stay, our WiFi went out on our second day there. The property manager ignored me the first time I reached out although she read my message, and it wasn’t until I expressed my frustration with her lack of response that she replied. Even when she replied all she told us was that someone from the cable company would come check it out, however that never happened. We had more days of no WiFi than we did with WiFi during our stay. This was unfortunate because I was unable to work from home and the children weren’t able to utilize their iPads during down time in the house. Additionally, when we inquired about the temperature of the water and if it was possible to increase how warm the water could get, the property manager said someone would come and check it out, and again, no one ever came.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing week in Grand Cayman at this Wight Away rental near Rum Point. The house was perfect and well equipped. We have been to the island before and love this location as it feels like such a quiet and well kept secret. Rum point was under construction while we were there (I think it will be ready in April of this year) but we were still able to enjoy Rum Point beach (one of my favorite places in the world). The only thing I would say is that Grand Cayman has tiny mosquitoes when the wind dies down (like in the early morning and evening) but we are used to this as we are from the north:) but when the breeze is blowing or it is mid day this is not a problem. We love starfish point and early morning walks in the neighbourhood, and bioluminescence bay is right across the street! This area is a little out of the way so a car rental is necessary but it is away from most of the crowds and we love that! We recommend Kaibo restaurant (the fish curry is awesome) and also found out that the Italian kitchen delivers! I would highly recommend this rental and I wish we could have stayed longer... I would rent this place again in a heart beat!

Amazing and peaceful

Our family of 4 truly enjoyed our stay at Wight Away. The house was immaculate upon arrival…without a doubt the BEST VRBO we’ve ever rented! The amount of amenities was spectacular…convertible paddle boards/kayaks, bikes, water toys, kitchen/bar accessories, family games, etc. While the location of this home is somewhat remote, it is so peaceful and relaxing. Be prepared to spend 45-60 min in the car to get to any selection of restaurants, stores, and groceries. The coffee shop and restaurants at Kaibo are great, but that’s about it in Rum Point. While we didn’t venture into the canal behind the house, we did paddle board/kayak in the bay across the street and it was perfect.

It’s so well kitted out with everything you need and the location can hardly get better but the best part is that it feels like a home! Perfect for family holidays! It’s so close to Kaibo and yet you can also enjoy the serenity of the house and pool area. We love running around Kaibo and Rum point area and seeing the beautiful sandy roads and gorgeous houses. The house itself is so pretty and the beds are incredibly comfortable! I can hardly find a negative word to say about the villa.

The home is a short walk from, Kaibo, Rum Point as well as Starfish point. The pool was perfect size to cool off on a hot day.
